Seats Behind the Stage

Hey there, so I have seats in 217 for night 1 at MSG but theyre kinda behind the stage. Has anyone seen a setup for DMB when the seats are open behind the stage? Do they have a screen behind so people can see? Is anything obstructed? Dont get me wrong, im thrilled to be going, but not too thrilled to be behind the stage

I was behind the stage for Philly.

Man, it was fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!! You have a screen above you, but I didn't really even look at it all night. You get a pretty damn good show of seeing Carter, and you get to see the whole crowd. You really get to feel the energy, b/c not only do you get your area moving, you see EVERY area in the arena moving and getting into it.

Plus, for the most part, it's the real hardcore fans that are back there. The ones that don't care where they are they just want to see the band. It's an awesome awesome awesome experience. You won't regret it at all.

When I first got the tickets I too was like "aww man behind the stage? That kinda sucks, but hey at least I get to go to the show!" but by the end of the show, I was blown away. It's the best seats in the house imo, except for that first few rows directly in front of the stage.

You'll enjoy it. It's an awesome experience.

Philly had that setup....looked pretty cool actually.

There's no screen...people were right behind carter...

I'd imagine higher up you're going to have to deal with the lights/speakers/general setup stuff

Also, as far as obstructions, it depends where you're sitting. On one side of the stage, they got to see Boyd and Tim really well, but from where I was sitting, I could see Rashawn and Jeff and Carter perfectly buy Boyd and Tim were kinda hidden by Carter's drum kit. But really, depending where you're sitting, if you're behind Carter, you will barely look at the screen. I was lucky to be pretty much right behind him, and it's amazing to see him work.

Seats behind the stage at MSG are great. I've seen DMB, Phish & Pearl Jam back there. Never had an issue.

Hey! We were behind the stage for Philly, too! I thought it was great being able to see things from the bands point of view, and it was so cool to look out over the sea of people in GA! I really didn't look at that screen much but it was nice to have it there. Most importantly, the music still sounded great!
