Maaaaybe Squirm? Though it has a joyful message. And despite the music, Dive In certainly has dark thematic undertones.

From AFTW, The Riff has a fairly dark theme.

Unreleased, A Dream So Real maybe isn't super dark but I would never accuse it of being uplifting, either. Same with Jackpot/Falling Off The Roof.

And once our crack team of WWII-era codebreakers finds a way to decipher whatever the hell Dave is mumbling in Blackjack, who knows? Maybe that one will turn out to be the darkest of all.

I've always wanted to hear/know what the 2nd set was for the halloween show from 10/31/92. apparently no one has it recorded or even knows what the set list was. but after they play best of whats around dave says they'll be back after a short break, so I know there's more to that show. really awesome show to listen to, first ever time halloween was played and it's haunting as hell. hope to hear the 2nd half some day. anyways here is my darkest set:

This is probably my favorite Halloween as well. The band gave everything in that version. Dave left nothing in his voice. This is the version nobody talks about, but should.
