I stopped including them in my lists because no one ever voted for them. This is the first year I put them back in, because I knew a few would get votes.

    Directing
    1. David Fincher (3 – Avg. 2.0)
    2. Damien Chazelle (3 – Avg. 2.3)
    3. Alejandro González Iñárritu (2 – Avg. 2.0)
    4. Denis Villeneuve (2 – Avg. 3.0)
    5. Martin Scorsese (2 – Avg. 4.0)
    6. Ben Affleck (2 – Avg. 4.5)
    7. David O. Russell (2 – 4.5)
    8. Spike Jonze (2 – 5.0)
    9. Quentin Tarantino (2 – 5.0)
    10. Christopher Nolan (2 – Avg. 5.5)
    11. J.J. Abrams (2 – 6.0)
    12. Wes Anderson (2 – Avg. 6.0)
    13. Kathryn Bigelow (2 – Avg. 6.0)
    14. Alexander Payne (2 – Avg. 6.5)
    15. Joe and Anthony Russo (2 – Avg. 8.0)
    16. Danny Boyle (2 – Avg. 8.0)
    17. Joel and Ethan Coen (2 – Avg. 8.5)
    18. Rich Moore (2 – Avg. 9.5)

Note: With First Man's #3 ranking this year, Damien Chazelle joined David Fincher as the only director to place in our top 10 on 3 separate occasions. The Russo brothers also went from being unranked to sharing the exact same success as Danny Boyle, who will try to improve his standing this year with Yesterday. Scorsese and Tarantino will clearly be expected to join the 3-Timers Club with The Irishman and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but Wes Anderson and J.J. Abrams might also do the same with The French Dispatch and the new entry in the Star Wars franchise.

I still need to update the acting category, but the biggest takeaway is that First Man's high placement will further solidify Ryan Gosling and Kyle Chandler's placement at #1 and #2, respectively.

    I approve of this.

I'm not posting my list because it was super lame. I didn't see A Star Is Born or Mission Impossible, Roma, Can You Ever Forgive Me, Eighth Grade or Free Solo, or Vice. Such a failure this year at seeing movies

LA - is there a way to send me my choices for the poll? I’m an idiot and didn’t keep track of what I chose.

Also once again I was an idiot and forgot to include a tie breaker, so please PM me the film that you think will win the most awards and how many awards they will win. I will add it to the doc once it's closed.
