I've been stationed here since 2016, and as an avid beach bum I can say without a doubt Pensacola is one of the best beaches in the country. Pensacola beach is very touristy and gets super congested during the warm months. I highly recommend checking out Fort Pickens, the National Seashore, and Johnson beach. Johnson beach is my favorite spot, but you do have to pay if you don't have an annual pass.

There is no shortage of amazing restaurants, if you eat at a chain restaurant while you're here then you're deadass wrong. Hotels aren't gonna be cheap, especially if you want to stay by the water. There's several downtown, which would be really convenient for getting to/from the venue. The bay center is a pretty small venue, I think it holds like 10k? I've been to several shows there, even the nose bleed seats aren't terrible. Will definitely be trying for floor in citi/public onsale.

I haven't been as active as I used to be on here, but will gladly help with any questions about the area!

They just released two more sections of side stage tickets for Pensacola.

I pulled no good pits for that show or Jax. Will have to find them later.

Just my opinion, but shouldn't be so beholden to pit for these shows. WH obviously had great seats, and the Citi presale had a lot too.

You will all probably be able to find some eventually no worries, but I gave up that whole pit or bust strategy long ago.

The arenas are a bit different. Actual seats are too far to the sides in the arenas unless you are at the very back. The good spot for an arena show is somewhere in the middle and in this case it's the floor. In an amphitheater, that is a much different case as the seats all face the stage, which they do not do in the arena.

So it's pit for me.

I often travel through Pensacola every year when we go to the beach. I agree that the panhandle has some of the best beaches in the country. You can’t really beat the pure white sand and the emerald water.

I choose my main show to be Oak Mountain just beacause it’s like my favorite venue in the south east. I still want to go to this show tho. If I wind up going it doing to be a last min deal. In December some of these arena shows were selling at ridiculously cheap prices on the secondary markets. We’re talking like $20 or $25. Maybe even cheaper then that. Even with the huge fees it’s a deal. I’m hoping this show won’t have much demand and I could get something similar really close to show time

So anyone coming to the Pcola show and curious about food recommendations ... I HIGHLY recommend McGuire’s Irish pub. It is an amazing steak house / Irish pub and only a couple blocks from the venue. The place is a local institution with amazing food and beer brewed in-house. A true MUST SEE. There is also a downtown area off Palofox street with tons of great stuff, this however isn’t quite walkable from the venue.

We're going but Jacksonville just isn't really convenient from most places in Florida. Plus, midweek indoor show. Hopefully it picks up as it gets closer.

Re: Pensacola, Restaurant Iron is kind of the shit. They also do a later menu until 1am. There are a few breweries around too, with Gulf Coast Brewery being closest to the venue I believe.

I hear ya, I went to a show in Toronto a few years back on a weekday and didn’t have the same energy, plus people were pretty chill. Was probably the most courteous pit I’ve ever been in lol.
