Atlanta is brutal. Parking prices are insane, the venue isn't that good and the sets never seem to be all that memorable (not counting the Piedmont Park show).

Maybe a Kansas City show or Omaha or something?

There aren't many other artists on the list that qualify for "top rocks acts of the 90s and 2000s" that haven't played BSMF since 2001.

The Offpsring played again in 2004 so that rules them out. There also really aren't many other artists listed that would even be considered headliner material in 2019. I think it's almost a certainty it's DMB.

Yeah, Lakehood is awful. I wish they would do Alpharetta. It's so much nicer. 2 nights there like in 09 would be awesome!

Anybody think these dates get announced relatively soon? Like maybe even before Christmas? I know Jan or Feb is the norm but it seems like a lot of big concerts and festivals have been getting announced earlier and earlier each year.

Thats fair. On the flip side, if they take more breaks, the rust starts to accumulate. In other words, they need to keep trucking to keep Carter in tour shape. 30 shows is really nothing. I personally would love to see a shorter Summer tour and a short Fall/winter tour each year, around 50 shows total.

Yeah sorry Chad, I was just going off history on this one. I have no sources or connections to confirm this at the moment, but its much like the Gorge in that we can count on a DMB 2 nighter in WPB in late July every year.

I’ve seen some posts asking about the “traditional” tour so let me clarify some of my earlier posts if any of those inquires were directed at me

I’ve heard the tour will start earlier than usual. Late April and might start south of the border. Not sure if those would be included w the regular summer announcement tho IF they do come to be. Also was told May will be busier than June and that June wouldn’t be usual not in terms of venues but in terms of them not having shows for a stretch of it.

I know there are some weekday dates scheduled towards the end of June, so if there were to be a break, I'd imagine it'd be at the beginning of June.

Yeah if Deer Creek is 6/28-6/29, I could see the band coming back from like a 3 week break earlier that week for 2-3 weekday shows before DC.

Curious where Camden will fall if those DC dates turn out to be right. Historically, Camden tends to fall in late June. My guess (based on past tours) is that WPB gets the last weekend in July. Does Camden get pushed into May? Other options would be 6/21 and 6/22 or 7/20 and 7/21?

If the break starts early early June like the first few days then yeah I can see Camden as 6/21-6/22.
