But age is a factor, running carter that hard for another summer only shortens his time left on stage and negatively affects the way in which he performs, were seeing him play less dynamically than ever right now and he seems to be the one who vetos playing songs like Two Step as is. Plus we know what happens to setlists during the dog days of tours. Lackluster performances and lazy, going through the motion setlists. Not to mention lots of empty seats with a higher show count.
To me, it just doesnt make sense for this band to play more than like 30-35 shows a summer.

Thats fair. On the flip side, if they take more breaks, the rust starts to accumulate. In other words, they need to keep trucking to keep Carter in tour shape. 30 shows is really nothing. I personally would love to see a shorter Summer tour and a short Fall/winter tour each year, around 50 shows total.
