I have Terrapin '77. Actually listening to it right now. I'm thinking Road Trips Vol. 1 No. 2 looks like my next pick-up.

Road Trips are official releases by the dead and b/c of that are soundboards, to my knowledge at least.

as with everything GD-related, you'll get varying replies based on what era people like most....I'm a big 73 and 77 fan, so I really dig DP 19 DP 10

Dick's Picks are all two track soundboards.
IMO the best DPs are 12, 3, 4, 14, 18 and 19.
Nearly all of them have at least one mind shattering stretch of jamming, though. The only one I don't really dig that I've listened to is DP 11.

I'm still on my acoustic Dead kick and stumbled onto this show which features only Jerry and Bob on acoustic guitars and Mickey on percussion......a lot of rare stuff (This Time Forever, Tom Dooley, Big Boy Pete) and an outstanding version of Dylan's Knockin' on Heaven's Door....very loose set, small intimate crowd and it sounds like they're playing in a bar....just awesome from beginning to end:

Thought it would be appropriate to share a poem I wrote last year around this time.

Well I was just a child then
When he finally had enough,
No tears were shed for many years
Nor was I feeling rough.
I never saw him play a note,
and so I felt no pain,
Yet my day would come, and just like him,
taken with a smile on my face.
His playing was my angel, I knew this was the place,
Some called it heaven, or simply a feeling...
That will never be replaced.
I was lost in the tune but I found a friend,
At last I felt the grace,
for there I saw his face.

15 years on and the man is still being remembered around the world today. For those of you with the MLB network it is Jerry Garcia night at the stadium and Bob and Phil are singing the national anthem. Jerry bobbleheads for all.

My first post in this thread, but I'm listening to Cornell '77 and felt the need to write. There are few more beautiful musical moments I've heard than Jerry's guitar solo after the second verse of Scarlet > Fire, which just went by a few second ago on my computer. The show holds a special significance to me, not just because it has a reputation as "the greatest" Dead show ever (I haven't heard enough to say whether I agree), but because I'm a Cornell grad, Class of 2000. I was in Barton Hall a hundred times when I was a student, and after being asked by 150 non-student Deadheads about the place, I could feel the significance of it, even moreso after seeing Phil Lesh & Friends open for Dylan there on 11.15.99. Phil did his usual organ donor speech, but prefaced it by saying something like "It's really quite something, coming back to this old hall. I'm having a strange feeling of deja vu", which was really cool.

As for the quoted post, the shows are all still on archive.org, but the soundboards are all limited to streaming (damn you, Bob Weir!!!). The audience tapes are still available, though, as is the Phil & Friends show I saw at Barton, which I'm linking to here:
