Affleck was amazing in BvS. Probably the single best part of the movie was his performance.

Given horrible material in JL so I don't consider that.

I never understood the hate on Affleck. I thought he did a great job and was looking forward to a solo movie. I get why he wanted out, though. He was given garbage to work with.

Affleck was fine, I don't really think he did anything that nobody else could have done with the role. The portrayal of Batman, particularly the costume and the fight scenes, was the best Batman we've seen on film, but as far as Affleck's acting chops in the role I felt it was fairly run of the mill.

Interesting that Clooney warned Affleck not to do Batman....bet Affleck wished he listened. Regardless of perceived quality of the two movies I don't think he really enjoyed his time in the spotlight at Batfleck.

Christopher Nolan hand picked Robert Pattinson to be in his next film - the guy can't be that bad of an actor. I haven't seen him in anything but I'm quite content with the casting if it ends up being BatPat (Nicholas Hoult would be a fine choice, too).

Edit: I don't understand shitting on Pattinson for previous roles (Twilight series). Lets not forget that Heath Ledger was in Brokeback Mountain and 10 Things I Hate About You prior to TDK. I haven't seen Brokeback but those are two films that trolls now would look at and lose their shit over

People really like Michael Jordan a lot, huh? I was expecting a lot more in Black Panther, but he was absolutely terrible. It really surprises me anyone could think he was good in that movie. He was easily the worst part about that movie. His "acting" was bland and boring and the dialogue he was given was even worse.

I've never seen Pattinson in anything, so I'll reserve judgment until I see a trailer. I know it's a popular argument to turn to, but Heath Ledger started out in movies like 10 things I Hate About You and Knights Tale...

While I can't at all say I would've have Pattinson high on my list, it's not from specifically NOT wanting him, it'd just never occurred to me. But I have no problem with it. though I haven't personally seen many of them, I know he's done plenty of highly acclaimed work the last few years.

If anything, I wouldn't have thought HE'D be interested in doing Batman. but, if there is an upside to seeing this petition shit happening, it helps my otherwise bottom of the barrel self-esteem, cause I'm like well at least I'm not THAT

From the article I read, he signed on to play the character before he even finished reading the script.

The key to playing Batman is actually being a believable Bruce Wayne, which Affleck was not.

I hope it’s Pattinson and not Hoult. Pattinson has done some great stuff since that Twilight crap. I don’t think Hoult would work.

lili simmons played Catwoman in the last Gotham episode

I’ll be cool if they want to keep her for the movie

    Good Time, as already mentioned.
The Lost City of Z. He's supporting but it's a really good movie.
The Childhood of a Leader. This I haven't seen yet but I've heard its very good.
The Rover. Another good one alongside Guy Pearce.

He's definitely done mostly art-house. I thought I would never see movies that had him in it due to those awful Twilight movies but he keeps popping up and I've been pretty impressed.
