Snow? I take it you're located up north? I'm in the south so we're getting hammered with severe thunderstorms. Under a tornado watch right now.

Not sure if this is sarcastic or not, but I'm highly fascinated by weather. Have been since elementary school. So, I love talking about it.

    and ya, north, Minnesota.

yesterday was bad weather awareness day or whatever it's called and the sirens went off at like 7pm or something, and even though I knew it was just a test those sirens get your heart pumping

Growing up in Oklahoma, I was too. It's fun to watch how crazy storms can get. I'll still never forget watching that F-5 cross I-35 on live televison on May 3rd, 1999, destroying everything in its path.

Yeah, it should be hitting the hardest here in the next hour or so.

Bad weather awareness day? Haha, I've never even heard of that. The sirens here go off quite a bit during certain months so I'm kind of used to it but it's still an unsettling sound.

I bet you saw some great storms out there. Wow, watching that would be unbelievable. It's such an awesome force. I've seen a few wall clouds in my life but that's about it.

    I do too.

The other night we had some rain and afterwards when the sky opened up it was beautiful.

I also love watching sunsets too... I just realized we haven't had a hurricane in this area in a LONG time. Wonder if we'll get hit this summer??

When I was 10, a tornado hit Stillwater and just lifted as it passed over our house. I'll never forget the sound, the pressure and just feeling terrified that the roof was going to come right off. That is the closest I ever want to get to another tornado.

Right now I'm dealing with minor hail damage on my roof from a major hail storm we got here in Lee's Summit, MO on April 3rd. It was golf ball sized, and just 10 miles south it was baseball sized.

That would be so intense holy shit. They say it sounds like a train, would you concur?

We had some little hail about two weeks ago. Didn't do any damage. It was just crazy cause it was warm earlier, then it hailed, then it warmed back up again. Just an odd feeling.

That's such a cool sight. When it stops raining and the clouds go away and the sun comes out. I love when it's late at night and it's pitch black outside and it's just lightning. No rain. And the lightning lights up the everything. I can remember being a kid looking out my window watching the lightning light up the entire street. For a flash I could see houses across the street and trees. But I would only see them in a quick white flast. It was amazing.

Sunday, it was 85 degrees and sunny and i was frying out at Miller Park. Now I have a sweatshirt on and my jacket.

    Damn Wisconsin weather.

It's been almost 21 years since it happened, but I still remember it like it was yesterday. It does sound like a train.

Growing up dealing with that, I can just tell by how it feels outside if it's going to be a bad weather day. Walking to a final in college in 2002, the humidity was so thick you could cut it with a knife. I told my buddy, I bet we have some bad storms tonight, it's in the air. Sure enough, tornadoes that night. And on the 3rd of this month when we got the hail, my wife and I had driven back from Tulsa and as we were pulling into our neighborhood I noticed the clouds in the distance and just by how they looked, I thought we'd be getting some bad shit. 3 hours later, golf ball sized hail is pounding my roof and windows.

I know exactly what you mean. Good stuff.

It's a beautiful day here today. I think we might get some rain tomorrow night, who knows. Next week looks like it's going to be amazing.

Damn 50 mph gusts? That would suck with it being that cold.

I'm the same way. Probably not to the extent you are, but I can tell if we're going to get bad weather just by how it feels outside. There's definitely a different kind of warmth and smell in the air. It's eerie but it's also kind of exciting.

seriously? I HATE snow. I could never live up north. My husband got a job offer in Ohio recently and we almost ended up moving there, SO glad we didn't.

It's crazy people are still getting snow. Aside from the bad weather it's been in the 70's for a few weeks.

i think the warmest it's gotten so far this year in the twin cities is like 68... ?? and that was just for one day... it's been very very cool here

which is actually really good for the spring because flood levels are hoovering around record highs here, mostly up north by the dakotas but pretty high in the cities and the south of the state also

Yep, it's been warn, sunny, all the snow melting fast, then some system dumps a bunch more snow.
Not that unusual for here, but depressing still
