It's that time of year, DMB are out on tour with the first 10 shows and it gives us a lot to talk about. Let's discuss the setlists so far. Is there justification for pitchforks or praise? Then we quickly recap and discuss all the latest DMB news like the return of DMB Radio on SiriusXM and new vinyl coming. Plus an update on the Setlist Game and what it tells us about the sets so far.

Is there a way to watch the video of this or is it only available in podcast form? I recall you used to live stream the podcast (and I'd watch it later on) but I can't find it on periscope or facebook.

We haven’t done a livestream for the past handful of episodes. Our schedules are such that it’s less stressful to not stream live. We still like doing it and will in the future.

Listening now. Matt, the almanac does something similar to your idea about what to add to tour central. They have the number of times a songs been played at the venue. But your idea would be nice too.

Joe, the eternal optimist. I wish I could go into that guy’s headspace and enjoy it like he does. I used to. Matt is preaching the truth.

The one point I’d add to the discussion - It’s amazing how the band used to be able to jumble up the same core songs in the set list, and people would still go nuts over them and attend multiple shows. Catalog gets bigger, they should be able to mix it up more, but they don’t.

As for tired slot placements of songs... there really are few “big songs” after tLWS. I think they’ve tried to force some (Bayou, Time Bomb) But there is no knew DDTW, Ants or Bartender. Listen to AFTW or Come Tomorrow and there is Nothing anywhere that screams Big Live staple song, yet they’ve gone full arena rock in the live show. It’s sad.

Thank you Joe and Matt for the time and effort in sharing your thoughts! I also am more optimistic/happy with the band these days, a la Joe, but I do agree, Matt, that I miss the violin and the band is obviously not at all at their "peak" sound/apex.

I am happy the setlists markedly improved over the last several shows, and I hope those are harbingers of things to come and not just a few really solid shows amidst some of the predictable, new-ish heavy sets they played a lot at the start of this tour.

Thanks for doing these podcasts guys. I always enjoy them. Did you guys cover your theories on Buddy's "setlist sheet"? Maybe I zoned out when you mentioned it. You may have to start putting "track listings" on these marathon podcasts so fans can skip to sections when needed. lol
