A few reasons, if you're interested...
1.) Just happened to see this job via LinkedIn and it works from a career progression as well as logistics standpoint. Right now I live in Chicago but commute to a north suburb (about ab hour commute) and this job would be in Chciago.
2.) My company was supposed to merge with another company and then the group the bought Staples tried to buy us, so I'm not even sure what the future of my company is at this point.
The next two are eye-roll inducing but, regardless, it's really how I feel.
3.) Our SVP is just so behind the times in analytics and processing. His first instinct is to create lists and manually spread out the work to resolve issues whereas I think that's ridiculous and it gets old day after day. In addition, he does not promote people from within his group. He hasn't promoted someone in over 12 years. Any times soneone has left the company, he has filled it from the outside.
4.) Probably due to a lot of the above, our directors are prety dumb. I was on a call yesterday where an outside consultant was basically mocking one of our directors and I don't think the guy even understood it. When a consultant says to a director "I'm explaining inventory management 101A", that's not a good sign. And, that director is like three levels above me. It's almost one of those, you woulndn't believe it unless you saw it but it seems we all have similar stories.
I guess I'd also like to see if I'm worth as much as I think I'm worth, which I think is more than I'm now getting.

Thanks. I uploaded a couple of pdf examples of interactive dashboards I've created but it's hard to get the full effect in pdf format.
