Good points. The acoustic set is just not winning me over or particularly interesting me. I guess it's also just a matter of opinion because 2006 is one of my favorite years

it is absolutely a matter of opinion...I am really hoping they start mixing up both sets, but we are 14 shows in and not so much...I am loving the acoustic stuff, but overall I'm still waiting for the tour to play out to really rank it

    Wait, what?

Because they're acoustic, or because of the songs they're playing?

Acoustic sets are redundant, but I'll take not a single bad song redundant any day of the week.

Because it's acoustic. And because it's only 8 songs. Could barely hear any of the set at SPAC and it's cool and all but I wouldn't go to see it more than 2-3 times

Where were you sitting at SPAC?

Acoustic sets I saw were clearly audible with your back to the back fence of the lawn.

Not that I'm surprised. Spac blows.

Lawn. I want to be more interested in the acoustic sets, I really do, but I just can't get into it. I'd just honestly rather have the songs in their full form. I'll be optimistic about it and see that we're getting a ton of great songs out of it though.

Definitely disagree with rather hearing them in their full form. The acoustic sets are sounding like the band I fell in love with.

This...which is why the recent LT, DMBLive and R2T vinyl releases have had me so ecstatic

In the last two weeks, I've gone from seeing one show to two. Just great fucking musuc right now. I'm actually really happy we aren't hearing knew tunes and listening to them just crushing great songs with just the perfect amount of variety.

We heard the acoustic sets perfectly inside at SPAC. It was awesome.

As someone said so eloquently above, I'd rather some great songs that have been largely ignored for years like Minarets, IBYU, PFWYG be overplayed than have a variety of poorer selections electric. For all we know, these songs could go back on the shelf if they decide on full electric next year.

Absolutely, 100%---yes in my opinion, although everyone will feel differently.

The lack of variety in the setlists is disgusting.

The versions of the songs have been good to very good in my opinion, but they are mailing in the set lists this year and that completely sucks ass.

See, this is how I've felt in yrs past. I actually remember being very pumped up after the LT 29 Blossom show and the previous night at Burgettstown as well, speaking similar thoughts as your quoted statement.

Some like me prefer more variety, whereas some like yourself prefer a straight up "Greatest Hits" set because the songs are just kick ass.

Either way, it's still great to see them continuing to tour.

I have loved these acoustic sets and the rare songs we've gotten during them; however I am ready to go back to the full electric set in 2015.... no doubt about it.

I wish they would do full acoustic sets. That would inspire me to see more shows next year.

If 2Sets goes away and it's back to nothing but electric sets, I'm seriously reconsidering how many shows I go to.

If they are going to do full acoustic sets they need to be small, intimate venues. They cannot be these large 20,000 plus venues where half of the crowd isn't paying attention/ can't hear it enough to enjoy it.

I am all for a month or 2 month long tour in the fall in 10,000 seats or less venues where it has that amazing intimate feel. Goo Goo Dolls just did an acoustic tour where the venues were extremely small; that is what this band needs.

At the Dave & Tim show in January, both nights were full of #dMbfamily and bros, so even if they did a small/intimate venue like that for an acoustic tour, the audience would probably be about the same disrespectful drunk people ruining everyone's experience. That's the only downfall for small intimate venues.

I hope its one year and done for the acoustic sets to be honest, for the Summer tours at least. It's a nice change but I'd much rather hear the majority of songs they are playing in the acoustic set in their electric form. Not sure how well it would work but if they could pull off 2sets electric moving forward I think that could be cool.

My first show this summer was last night, and I'm sitting in the lawn right now waiting for Night two at the creek. Looking at the setlists I had been disappointed in the lack of variety, after last night to be honest I could care less now. I heard two step, bartender, I'll back you up, tripping bullies, snow outside just in the acoustic. That alone most years would be a great show. The sets may be similar but I think they are still great regardless. If you're too tired of hearing 3 two steps a summer call me up I'll take your tickets

    Honestly, 2014>July 1 08 and on ward.

The bands sound is much better. The acoustic sets are really cool, and so far the electric sets have been decent. It made me add another show, for gods sake.

These past 2 tours have been really good.

we all know dave spends more time coloring his set lists than actually thinking about playing songs other than jimi thing and cornbread every night.

The bands sound is much better. The acoustic sets are really cool, and so far the electric sets have been decent. It made me add another show, for gods sake.

These past 2 tours have been really good.
Disagree. Went to both Camden shows in '14 and they don't touch the best shows I saw in '09, '10, '11, '12
