It's best to go into the Nashville show with very low expectations. Last time they played this venue everyone got all hyped and it was a HUGE letdown.

I am ready for one of those rip roaring Nashville shows. 99, 2000, and 2001 at Starwood are precious memories for me.

Also, Busted Stuff would be amazing to finally hear.

Gotta agree with this. What a weak show in a great town. Dave is clueless, but we already knew that.

I think I just scored a pit ticket. I've never done the one in Nashville did they usually overcrowd it?

Was on the rail for the 2019 show but don't remember; here's a partial photo from that show, looks like folks are well to the sides, so I bet it was pretty full

I get your point, if you are only referencing the 2019 show… but some of the shows this band has graced Nashville with in the past, specifically 98, 2000 and even more so 2001… my hopes will always remain high.

That’s what I’m talking about… even all these years and shows later, that 2000 and even more so 2001 shows are probably the most special performances I have ever caught.

If anyone really wants to know how truly special a Nashville show can be, do yourself a favor and give 7/25/01 a spin. This show really needs to be released as a live trax.

Apples to oranges comparison. It ain't the same band now. That was 22 years ago.

Illini's point is on the money. Any stop from the late 90s/early aughts was miles more significant and special than anything they've done in the last decade. I'm not saying they're incapable of a great show or pulling out the magic for a night, but let's be real, we get like 5 of those shows a year from them now. Maybe I'm just a jaded vet, but knowing what this band is capable of compared to what they often deliver are two very different things.

As cynical as I sound, I truly do hope for a good show. It still means a lot to me to have a good show. It brings back all the warm fuzzies of when I was deeply into this band.

yep, 7/25/2001 was truly special. That 41 is insane. Fishtender from that show made it to a Warehouse disc, so I suppose there's a little hope.

It's damn near criminal that with two 2001 picks in the livetrax series so far that that show isn't one of them.

Found some photos on the band's Facebook page from the 2019 show; looks like there's a little space in the back corners of the pit, but pretty full

There was plenty of room in the back. Even back center. Super comfortable, watched the whole show there.

    Re: ***Official Nashville 2023***

There's something with the fire marshal stuff/regulations that prevents them from selling the entire pit slap full at *arenas*, but not amphitheaters. Something with the indoor venues prevents that. For example with the "sold out pit" in the arena shows I have seen for DMB, you could easily crunch another 100+ people in there. But that's all they are allowed to sell. In the amphitheaters they cram the people in slap full but some of them historically have been so bad you can't move a muscle in there. That is why I prefer the bigger GA pits like Bristow, Tampa, Alpharetta, etc where there is room for everyone and you aren't crammed in like West Palm Beach, Lakewood, etc.

If it's anything like the Mayer solo show, those will drop in price come day of show if they don't sell well.
