Texas just left the bases loaded in the bottom of the 5th. fuck.

3-3, top 6 right now. That was a big missed oportunity.

    Texas is out. go Owls!

sucks that my 3 teams are in the same regional... eh well.

UofH is in the regional championship game tomorrow in college station. more Texas teams the better.

Friendswood and Bellaire are in Austin for the State H.S. Final Four.

my friend Megan dropped a game this morning against Florida in the softball world series, but she came back and pitched game 2 as well and won a spot in the championship game tomorrow going 9 innings!!!

    go TAMU!

Megan Gibson has been HUGE for A&M all year (was in the running for POY). It's even more amazing since Scarborough went down in the beginning of the season for us.

They have a good chance at the national title against a really good ASU team.

Found this interesting... NCAA rules prohibit teams from having music between batters (walk up music).. well at UGA they have what is referred to as Kudzo Hill, a hill behind right field that is owned by a bunch of students... either way, they have set up a HUGE stereo system and are playing each UGA batters music as they approach... kinda cool

Is this a new rule? I haven't been to a Texas home game since my cousin stopped playing there, but when he was there ('04 was his last year) every player had his own music and it was played over the general pa before each at bat.

Megan has always been a star player. my sister and her played their first two years together when they were 5 and 6... my sister wasn't so good. Megan's sister Crystal is my age and their mother works at the same school w/ my mom and my gf. The Gibson family have been close w/ us for years. it's really awesome to see Megan doing so well for herself. i can't believe they cut her from the olympic team. that made it pretty sweet when A&M beat them earlier in the year.

well barring a collapse UGA should win and advance to the Super Regional vs NCST in Athens... Not gonna lie, I didn't have much faith when they lost their first game to Lipscomb and then were down late to Louisville... but they got real hot and it makes it that much better when they can take two against those nerds from Tech... Go Dawgs!

Fresno State is the surprise team of the tournament so far. #4 seed in the Long Beach St. regional and they defeat #2 seed San Diego to move onto the super regional round.

No top 8 national seed was eliminated, although there were several close calls. Florida State and Georgia both had to win 4 straight to win their regional after dropping game their first game.

Half the regionals get underway on Friday, the other half on Saturday and by Monday we should know the 8 participants of the college world series.

Glad to see Miami pull it off tonight. Long game, had me worried several times. A CWS without CS Fullerton will be a little weird...

UNC advances to the college world series by beating Coastal Carolina 10-4 and sweeping the series.

Florida State also advances to Omaha for the first time since 2000 by blasting Wichita State again 11-4. Wichita State couldn't capitalize off winning game 1.

Florida State plays Stanford in the first round of the College World Series.

The bulldogs in Omaha for only the 6th time in school history.

LSU has a massive comeback in game 2, scoring 5 in the 9th inning to win 9-7 to force game 3 against University California-Irvine.

Sucks Arizona got stuck facing the number one team in the nation and couldn't come through. The first two games they raked with runners in scoring position then just lost it in game three. Hopefully ASU loses to fresno state and I won't feel as bad
