I don't carry my 15" around too much, but when I do I usually have a carrying case I purchased. I think I bought it from Target many years ago when I had my 1st 13 inch MacBook. Bruce, can you confirm something for me?

Does Apple price-match, in store? Everything I’ve read says that they do, and that actually the program was recently expanded to allow even more leeway to do so.

However, the salesperson today unequivocally told me that apple does not.

But, she also told me that MacBooks do not have a Retina display, and that they only have the ability to be charged, no data could be transferred to it at all.

So I'm going to upgrade my phone and I think I'm going to just go with the 8. I like having a Touch ID button, and it seems like the 8 is pretty much the perfection of the original iPhone lineup. I think I'll wait a while and see what happens with the X further down the road.

Plus the X doesn't come in gold and all my Apple stuff (Watch/iPad) is gold already.

The only time I tried to see if they would was on a Black Friday Apple Watch purchase I was going to make at Best Buy. The employee at the Apple store said no they don’t, so I bought it at Best Buy. However, this doesn’t mean that they don’t now or for different prices or items. I’m not 100% though.

Truly thought I’d miss the button at least a little bit. Nope. Good riddance! The swipe gestures are great for navigation and FaceID has worked very well so far. Plus, the screen is just awesome.

The 8 is exactly what you said though, so it’s not like you could go wrong there.

man this thing is sweet. obviously given that I was using a mid-2010 mbp, anything was going to impress me. still, I like it.

was amazed at how quickly my iphone synced when plugged in. I feel like an entire world opened up to me. on my old mbp it literally would be like 3 hours-half a day that I'd have to wait with my phone tethered to the computer if was backing up or syncing a lot of new shit. it took like 3-5 minutes on the new one. I'm guessing it's the much faster port.

I've had this issue for a while now where when I'm on my iPad and lets say I'm using a specific app, whether it be Netflix or YouTube, playing a game, whatever. And then I minimizing that app and go to check my emails, or check my Instagram, or Twitter or something, then a few mins later I'll go back to that other app that I was watching/using but that app is now closed instead of just minimized so instead of leaving off where I was it's now behaving as if it's being reopened & refreshing/starting over. It's really irritating and it happens with every app, its not specific to just certain ones. Anyone have any insight why it's now behaving like this and how to get it to stop? I'm using iOS 11.2 btw but was doing this before this latest iOS update.

Which iPad do you have? Could just be the lack of RAM causing things to have to reload.

Some apps have built in time-out limits by the developer; not Apple or Android. These are in-place so people don't lose battery in bigger chunks for background running apps.

It's an iPad Air2. I've only had it a couple years, 64 GB.

Have you tried to double click and switch apps instead of going to your home screen and then opening a new app?

DIDO is right. That is more than likely the issue, but the Air 2 while having decent RAM, it is a 3 year old machine that will often have to reload background apps that hog RAM. With apps being much more feature-rich and more complex than in 2014, it becomes tougher to keep in memory.

Question for the Apple guru's.

I have a late 2011 MBP. Never had any issues with it, but today when I turned it on, I get the gray screen/no entry sign immediately after I log in.

Has anyone had this happen to them before? I tried to run in safe mode, but it doesn't allow me to do that. I'm about to go into Disk Utility and erase the hard drive, but wanted to see if anyone else had a solution?

Just picked up the latest iPad. Haven’t had one since gen1 and that was short lived. Have to say, I’m pretty impressed so far. Battery life is fantastic, it’s quick, I can watch the Masters in a small window while doing other shit...

I just got the Apple watch series 3 with cellular.

If I turn my iPhone off, I receive calls to my watch just fine, but I do not receive text messages. To my knowledge I should be able to.

Had to send my MBP (TouchBar model) in again to get the keyboard fixed because the keys started sticking/not responding again.

I hope they get this keyboard stuff fixed in the future for new laptops
