Agreed.
It was the people who more than 1/2 way back that had been sitting before the show. I was hoping it was their plan to fold them up & stand for Dave.

Right on, it would have been nice to sit in a chair while waiting for them to come out, I am 28yrs old and my legs and feet were killing me by the third day. We ended up stealing towels from the hotel everyday and taking them in to sit on till the show started to kinda hold our spot, then we just left the towels there.. they were so gross as you can imagine. I thought the whole time that the metal rigid type of chairs were not allowed... I was kinda upset when I saw they were letting people bring in any kind of lawn chair they wanted... but oh well, I ended up getting alot closer to the stage because we didnt have any chairs with us.

i ended up doing the same thing after the first day. my group stole bed sheets from the hotel when we were leaving to go over to the festival. we would go to a housekeeping cart and ask if we can have a sheet. we'd get it and just keep walking away from our room. they never questioned it. the hilton hotel and casino would not be pleased with our actions

Sorry to resurrect... but we may need to start a support group for people such as myself. This was the best weekend of my life and I keep getting super depressed thinking that I'm not going to be heading down to AC this weekend to experience this whole thing again. One of the coolest moments I will never forget was being in the streets with at least 35,000 people singing THANK YOU FOR LETTIN ME BE MYSELF AGAIN while the cops didn't try to stop us. They took pictures and high fived us... the construction and road workers were standing on their trucks dancing, taking pictures and videos, and high fiving us... The weekend was PERFECT with awesome bands, beyond perfect weather... ugh this blows...

Ahhh that singing into the streets is something I will remember forever. Such a great moment to be a part of. I really wish, having seen how all the Caravans turned out, that I had been able to go to all 3 days of AC. But, I got N3 so I can't complain. Hoping they play at Bader again next year!

I think AC would be a good place for DMB to go back to every year. It'd be cool if they did a caravan style weekend every summer at Bader.

AC was the only one I went to so it's hard for me to really say, but I seem to have gotten the same impression. It seems like of the 4 venues, AC is set up best as a functioning venue for a music festival. The ease of getting to and from the venue and the huge amount of space they had made it a great location.

Gorge and Randalls are smaller and Governors and Chicago were nightmares to get in and out of (so I heard).

I get the feeling AC was the best of the Caravans. There were so few complaints about it, and the city seemed to be excited about it as well. I would love to see a 3 day Caravan next year. I definitely loved that it had so much space to the venue and to me the layout was perfect. I wanna go back to those days and go for all 3

The fact that it was walking distance or a quick and inexpensive cab ride down the street to the venue was definitely an added benefit. So was the fact that AC is open all night so the party doesn't stop after DMB's encore.

AC was the perfect festival. i would go back there for another one every year if they do it. RLM has a contract with Bader Field for 5 years, so there is a good chance of another one happening. there were so many good bands and such a good location. it needs to happen again.

I agree.The location was great.Hanging on the beach all day,walking to Bader from one of the resorts,having a few beers,seein a great show from DMB......would love to do it again....

I went to AC, Governors, and Randalls Island. By far AC was the most organized and best setup of the three. I remember all of the concerned ants that posted in this thread leading up to that weekend, and none of those concerns ever materialized.

I said it once and I'll say it again. Props to the city, police, and management on the best weekend I had this summer!
