Zac Brown Band - any fans?
Anyone ever listen to the Zac Brown Band? They're more of a country group and you've probably heard their hit song, "Chicken Fried" at some point, but they've got some other good songs too. I hear they put on a good live show. Anyone ever seen them in concert?

I saw them open for Keith Urban in May, ehhhhh. I don't know if it was the band, or the fact that it was WAY too loud, but it wasn't nearly as good as I thought it'd be.

I'd say my two favorite country groups at the moment are Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum. Any one that does a good job on a Pearl Jam cover is good in my books

Seeing them in October as a gift for my girlfriend...... their webpage says the guy is a pretty bad-ass flat picker?? I love live music and watching anyone with some talent play.... am i gonna be disappointed? ... just bought the tickets 2 min ago, ill download an album tonight.
Im hoping they can jam a little? I dont like the pop country crap where eevry male vocalist sounds the same and sings about how big a redneck he is. |

Just saw their show last week. DDDAAAYYYUUUMMMMMM!!! go check them out if they are anywhere near you! These guys tear it UP! I like their live stuff WAYmore than studio stuff. Live they are much more of a bluegrass/jammy/southern rock feel. and they can PLLAAYY!
Do yourself a favor and download their little 5 song live set from Bonnaroo on Itunes.... theres a new song on there and a cover of devil went down to georgia. Both are pretty amazing! its like $4 i think. well worth it for thos 2 songs alone. |

Getting a little redundant... I first listened to them years ago when I was in college (Chicken Fried is a re-release), but glad to see they made it big.

The stuff they played in concert and said was "new" .... "who knows" is one of the songs on the live Itunes album...and there was another song or two i forget, are ffaarrrrrr better then any of the snogs on the radio and current released album.

I was told they were awesome and not like the typical pop country, which I can't stand. So I check out the CD and it is exactly like every pop country song which I can't stand, save a song or two. Not my cup of tea.
