It's a reasonable statement, Steve. He's going to be so good. He's probably 20-30 pounds overweight and still leaps and bounds more athletic than anyone on the floor. And his quickness is insane.

He operates so effortlessly and he's already a smarter player than Giannis will ever be.

Can’t believe how good Quickley has been in the NBA. Loved him in college but wasn’t sure how he’d translate at the pro level.

He’s played about 40-50 games? And they haven’t been too great during those, have they?

I like what I’ve seen from him though, just a little pre-mature edukeulation on your part I think.

Wait, what? Zion or the Pelicans? If we're going to do that, the Bucks sucked too while Giannis was developing.

Is it fair to compare the #1 pick who was destined to save a franchise to a supposed reach who was not supposed to come over for years and when or if he did he would be a success if he became a rotation player?

Zion was expected to come in and save the franchise 40 games in? Weird. I simply made an observation and you were the one who brought in team success.

Zion's potential is through the roof. Giannis seems to be hitting a wall. Right now it's hard to say he's much more than prime Dwight Howard, if I'm being totally honest. And that's not really a knock, prime Dwight was great.

That's the thing. I have no idea. I guess I'd give someone like Chris Finch a shot. Maybe Kenny Atkinson.

I don't hate Bud, but it's literally the same thing that's happening every night on defense.

these losses were bad but Charlotte is a mediocre three point shooting team and New Orleans is horrible. in both games Milwaukee suffocated the opponent at the rim. the scheme conceded the right shots, given the opponent who both excel in the paint. i get it might look annoying to the naked eye if shots are falling but i’m not sure another coach does it any differently

Conceding open threes is not a good scheme.

agree to disagree, i’ve seen New Orleans lose a ton just from that scheme (like tonight)

Charlotte requires a little more imagination given how balanced they are, ill give ya that. but they protected the rim and Charlotte hit shots more than they’re used to, so i’ll give myself that

Really enjoyed this; I've always kinda done it in a notebook but super willy nilly and not organized like this. I'll prob do it sometimes and share once in a while on nights I'm locked in- really helped me organize my brain watching so many games at once. Definitely helps getting more of an objective feel of the game.

You're not going to win anything when you're one of the worst teams in the league defending the three.

I mean sure you can, you just have to excel in other things. The Clippers and Denver are right there at the bottom too as far as allowing 3 point shots. Granted they haven't won anything either but they're both really good and use the same scheme.

I'm not saying you're wrong, they for sure should mix it up. The "funnel everything to the midrange" might work but it may allow more drives and give more fouls. Lots of great teams do it and lots of bad teams do it. Same with the "switch everything" defense. We both know Milwaukee doesn't have the personnel to try that too much.

I say it helps to do other things well too though; turnovers and bricking literally every midrange shot killed Milwaukee tonight and that's not on the coach

I actually think they have the personnel to switch everything when Portis is on the floor instead of Lopez. They're just not good at it right now because they rarely do it.

The one constant in almost all of their losses is the other team torching them from three because of all the open looks. At some point you can no longer just throw your hands up and say, "well, they got hot from three!" This is the NBA. Players are going to hit wide open shots.
