Re: The NBA Thread

also no way Monroe plays in the playoffs. good god he is a slower Al Jefferson. put him on a vegan diet and maybe he can play mop-up. does not fit the team identity at all.

switchability killing the Celtics. being outmatched on the wings athletically made everything sloppy. Raps can provide those problems too. I question how many minutes you can afford Theis and Morris in the postseason

Morris kinda sucks. Just shoots 3’s, plays zero defense, and dribbles around like he’s an ISO player. I don’t mind him as a scorer on the 2nd unit but when he’s out there with the first unit it sucks. He doesn’t need to even take shots when out there with Horford, Tatum, and Kyrie but he does anyways. Smart frustrates me but having Morris out there with them shows how much he means to the team.

Didn’t they get Morris because he had the best defensive numbers against James?

Didn't see the game or the ceremony, but did Pierce get his own handicapped parking spot at TD Waterhouse Garden Center Stadium?

It honestly shouldn’t. He was an assistant back in 2010 or so with the Celtics. Which is probably why he had a court side seat for the Pierce ceremony. Always figured he’d be a head coach eventually.

The new look Cavs impressed today. They could be a well oiled machine come playoff time. Warriors/Cavs part 4 looks much more likely than it did a week ago.

    Re: The NBA Thread

Game was atrocious. Crowd was fired up like an ECF game to start. Place was electric until we got ran out the gym fairly quickly.

The ceremony was amazing, shed some tears, many feels. Thought it was great to see Rondo, KG, Doc, Powe, The Chief, Toine, even Posey got a nod. Doc was def hammered when he was speaking.

    Awesome night.

This is not going to end well. Sucks for Lonzo who actually seems somewhat normal and could end up being a solid player. I wonder if they will all just end up being huge celebrities over-seas? Would Lonzo leave the NBA? No chance all 3 will end up on an NBA team.

I'm actually going to say that LaVar convinces some NBA team to take on all three. Feel like the Kings are disastrous enough to gamble on something this crazy and, if nothing else, profit from the fact that the trio + daddy will at least sell tickets because they're a side show.

One way or the other Lonzo is going to have to tell Lavar to shut the fuck up and let him experience his career.

I'll be curious if that ever takes place. I think he has a place in this league - but Lavar may ruin any chance of him being a 10+ year vet.
