Didn't even make an attempt, my days of standing in line for beer are in the past!

5 years ago, my cellar consisted of over 200 nice bottles...today, I might have 30? My Cantillon stash, some random sours and big stouts...thats it. Its just not worth the hassle, and 95% of the stuff I would lay down didn't really improve (change, yes....get drastically better, no). It really is more of a collecting thing imo.

Great day for those who get their early today...

    C39 - 8 cans
    Doppel - 4 cans
    Eureka - 2 cans
    Bright - 2 cans

Note, C39 is the only freshly packaged beer, the others are leftovers from Wednesday and Thursday releases. Thursday and Fridays are going to be the best days as more and more leftover beer is available. Some days may yield upwards of a case, currently.

yeah my collection has been about 300-400 bottles for the last 6-7 years....it was a nice relief honestly going through a lot of it, but there's still more work to be done. It's a fucking chore. I'll never get down to like 30 bottles but I'd say 75-100 should be realistic....and maybe when I get there I can thin/drink the herd down further. Fortunately my wife is happy to drink the sours with me....I just have few opportunities to get through the stouts. I have like 40 bottles of KBS.....like why the fuck do I need 40 bottles of KBS and when the hell would I even drink them?

we will be out there in september. Plan to go immediately to Tree House from the Hartford airport on a wednesday. Thursday take a day trip to Vermont to see if we can gather some Heady Topper and Hill Farmstead bottles. Return to Tree House on Friday and another visit on saturday on our way back. We plan to mix in Trillium a couple of times, Night Shift, and some good bars in or around Boston.

The facility is MASSIVE... like maybe the largest brewery I've been to outside of Ballast Point in San Diego, or Budweiser in St. Louis. It's no joke. Once they get rolling, the amount of per they'll be able to produce will be insane. They made the space for a reason...
I think when they are at full capacity or even before then they will have case limits on some beers. They have had a 16 can limit on Eureka not to long ago.

Yeah that would be great. If I got 18 cans in one trip I probably wouldn't need to go again.

You should start collecting bourbon next!

    Or Absinthe!

Ya it seems Thurs and Fri have been good days to go for the most cans if they release 2 non super popular beers on a weds.

LOL! So much good tequila and Mezcal coming out these days! You sound like a snowball at the top of a mountain...just starting to roll down!

In other news...drinking at '17 KBS. Don't get me wrong, its really good. But I'm kind of over it. Tweak > KBS. and honestly...if I had to pick...I'd take backwoods over KBS as well.

Have attempted to find a crowler of Great Notion Double Stack for months, and can only find them for insane cash on the secondary market. Sounds amazing, but I am not paying $80+ for it.

Flying to Los Angeles Wednesday AM. Likely will hang in LA for the day/night before I head east to Pomona for work Thursday - Sunday.

Planning to hit up Monkish Wednesday night... perhaps I'll get lucky with a can release.

Any locals have any other recommendations? I tend to avoid LA, so not 100% in the know regarding restaurants or whatever.
