Is the Gorge still an easy ticket don't worry about it until the summer type deal? Just looking to confirm things are the same as last time I went 5 years ago.

There are actually three terraces people are referring to when discussing the Gorge.

The first is nearly impossible to get and are the few flat spaces available in the very front of the lawn, sandwiched between the chain link fence and the path. To get the best spots, you have to be some of the first in line (lined up before 10:00am) but realistically you’ll end up with a less desirable jagged rocky patch that you could fall off and hurt yourself with. I dislike the rush for these spots and have seen many falls when running to get them. Not worth it, especially because as the show nears, more and more people fill every available space.

The second terrace area is to the right (facing the stage) and has several wide open, flat and wide rows. These fill up less quickly and are easily landed all the way through the opening acts, unless you want the very front, up against the fence. I like the second or third row back but anywhere here is great imo.

The third terrace is only for locals who have a season pass to the Gorge. Those are the very very best spots but are off limits to most everyone. This is where the Pirates are.

I think if you're planning to do the lawn (which I think we discussed) you're fine. That's where I'm at - I booked an AirBNB that can be cancelled - and I'm monitoring flights, but i don't think i'm requesting tickets just yet.

Lawn and you’re good. Hardly ever sells out. 2016 N2 was sold out but the band had announced a break the next year. I do wonder though with the Gorge ending the tour if that will increase demand assuming they wait to announce anything for the fall until after the gorge.

Just made my requests for N2 & N3, based on advice--N2 request Pit and Pavilion, opted out of lawn (could always get it on TM later)...N3 requested Pit, no opt outs. Thanks for all the info!

LN Camping page says Public Onsale is TUE 2/14; usually has the FRI date but always has gone live on the TUE CITI date:

    https://concerts.livenation.com/gorg...044.1664041829

And then trying to back into the OASIS price, based of the Illenium 3-night prices, the increases that we know of for the other camping levels aren't all the same:

    Illenium/DMB/% increase

    $130/$150/15% – GA
    $250/$270/8% – Premier
    $600/$900/50% - Terrace
    $380/$415/9% – Gold No Power
    $700/? – Gold 30 AMP Power
    $830/? – Gold 50 AMP Power
    $1,500/? - Oasis

How do you get “glamping”, or is that impossible to get via online sales?

An increase in Oasis would be bonkers, considering they are taking away some things this year.

Wife and I got a babysitter to escape the house for a couple hours today. We had no prior conversation about Gorge 2023. One beer in and we had flights booked. See y’all at heaven’s amp!

Haha! That was similar to last year, I was dragging my feet about going to Alpine for 2 nights (I've seen them there 20-ish times). I had tickets for Night 2 w/ my girlfriend but woke up on day 1 and kind of had the itch to go. I went to a bar down the street to "drink about it" - had my first pint, went home to take the dog out, got in the car and off to Alpine. Solo DMB still a fun time!

😂! I can so relate…this is me and my wife too. Ended up with us flying to NYC for the MSG shows in 2021, travelling to the Gorge last year & booking our flights in Dec for Gorge 2023! It’s amazing what some “quality” time together over a beer & no kids around can accomplish 😉

RV rentals sure aren't cheap. Is Cruise America the go to? Finally putting in requests + camping.

I would be very reluctant to rent from an individual. lots of horror stories of people cancelling on their renters and leving them up shit creek.

I've rented from cruise America before. not for the Gorge, but I'd feel a lot more comfortable with them.

think hotel vs airbnb in terms of booking

So, I've never been to the Gorge and am considering this year (first show was in 96). I know it's gorgeous view, but are the shows that much different there than any other venue??

Different? Not so much, but there's lot of resources to compare shows (Tour Stats here, the almanac, youtube, etc)

But you gonna get 3 nights with no repeats (maybe a handful with this album tour). It's really about the 4-day event in the middle of no where, camping, etc

But you gonna get 3 nights with no repeats (maybe a handful with this album tour). It's really about the 4-day event in the middle of no where, camping, etc
    I'll disagree with Peter here.

sets are drastically different than the rest of the tour. all songs spread out over 3 nights make for the most unique and rare sets of the tour, by far.

there's a reason gorge shows are always top ranked every year. esp n2 and n3.

Give me a Gorge setlist drastically different than the rest of the tour? Maybe I'm still sour from having SMLAM and Cornbread and SMLAM closing my last 3 trips

Two years ago they wanted to change it up so much that Carter sat out and Buddy played drums.
