Re: The Gorge Q&A and FAQs

Guess it would make sense to get the cheapest camping anyway for only staying one night. But wanted to experience a camp site with a view.

How is the GA Camping? In the FAQ's it looks like district 9

first year I went to gorge, my camping neighbors went to mass. Closest one was in Quincy.

It really isn't as bad as people make it out to be, especially for one night.

Agreed. It's actually very tame compared to east coast camping (i.e. Spac camping).

Coming for my first time! Where does everyone prefer to sit???

Half my crew only likes the lawn at the Gorge, some prefer seats for 1 of the nights and some folks like pits as much as possible. Couple people said they hate the Gorge pit. Just curious what everyone's thoughts are.

I liked having seats, but spent half the time in the lawn. Gave mr seats to dome friends so we could trade and not lose our stake in the grass. Sharing, picked it up from Rogers., Fred that is.

Are we insane to try to drive back to Seattle (or at least part way) after the show on Sunday night so we can catch early-ish flights on Monday?

The earliest flight I’d recommend on Monday would be about noon. Driving back on Sunday night isn’t a bad option except if you’re camping or whatever you have to pack up your shit before the show n3 and that means losing out on tailgate time on the final night of the weekend. That’s up to you, but it’s not something I’d enjoy. Personal preferences vary though.

    Mile or so, I'd say.

Big negative for Gold for me. I'd much rather be closer to food than to the venue.

How is the cell service at the Gorge? I need 2 N2 lawn tix and for some reason there aren't any available to print. I can only find tix that don't allow printing and instead are only on cell on Ticketmaster and StubHub. What if there's no service? What if my phone dies? Would I just be out $200 standing at the entrance unable to get in?

There is a box office too, so if you gave your credit card number they could print them, or just change to will call!

That's the only thing I can find for N2, $100 each including fees. Any other ideas because I'm not thrilled about paying that much.

Holy Fuck, TM lawns are sold out and TM verified resale is $199.92.

for two fucking lawn tickets, for DMB, in god damn 2018.

    Somebody's lost their damn mind.

But PS4125, I'd hold out for now. The show's not for another 3 months, there will be more for sale at some point. Could probably even walk up to the box office day of and buy two lawns.

Cell service (in my experience) the past few years has been great. The only time it gets dodgy is in the venue during the show, when there's a huge volume of people accessing all at once. Even then, it's not too bad.

I come in from Canada so my phone just picks whichever service is best at the moment, so I can't speak to any particular provider's quality.

Not camping. Am I crazy doing a 5:15 am flight Monday? Would leave right after the show. Considering getting a parking pass since I’m not sure how the lots are

On the subject of parking, what is the general/not-premium parking cost and what is the tailgate like (if it exists at all)
