FAVORITE Led Zeppelin album

The one you enjoy the most; not the "best" or "greatest".

Too hard when you think about the album quality. It is more of a time and place and what it reminds me of thing.

The last time this came up in a +/- game I helped Zep II win it. Still my choice.

Houses of the Holy for me. The Rain Song (my all-time favorite), The Ocean and Over the Hills and Far Away take it.

1b would be Led Zeppelin III, and 1c would be Led Zeppelin II.

There are some good tracks (Tea For One, All My Love, South Bound Suarez, etc) but yeah for the most part, they were past their peak.

    for me it goes:

Houses of the Holy (Rain Song FTMFW!!)
    III
    IV

i only put III above IV because how it blew my mind when i first heard it. I already knew most of the songs on IV when i got into zep, i didnt know much of anything besides Immigrant Song on III.

also, the real best album by Zep is the BBC sessions. You havent heard "What is and what should never be", "immigrant song", or "heartbreaker" unless you've heard thse versions. they blow the studio versions away

    Same.

IV was one of the first albums, yes vinyl, that I ever bought. That makes it a sentimental fav. Fact is i love them all top to bottom.

Definitely IV, probably the 2nd or 3rd greatest album of all time IMO. I is probably my second choice. But I'm a huge Zeppelin fan. Presence is good, In Through the Out Door and Coda are decent, everything else is classic.

this guy is definitely not speaking without facts to back up his generalizations

we all know zep has been accused of plagiarism, and i dont feel like getting into this again, but even if all the allegations are true, it amounts to about 10-12 of their songs. HARDLY "all their music".

If zep 'stole' all the blues songs they are accused of i'd be willing to bet the artists credited for writing them 'stole' them as well. there's a definite system of legacy involved in blues riffs/lyrics...careless crediting is one thing but accusing them of flat out plagiarism is just untrue.
