There is a Fast Lane Access for this show which doesn't get you in early but it is a shorter line. That is sold out.

I would line up at the Ben Franklin Plaza gates. They may even have a sign that says "PIT".

NOTE: I've never been in pit before.

Damn, lots now open at 4pm. I can remember the 2001 and 2002 shows being in the Camden lots at noon.

Yeah, either the venue or the city must have changed how early the lots can open for concerts. I believe in 2009 when I saw Phish at Camden the lots still opened around noon or so. Plus I believe their is either less available parking or parking is farther away since the 00s since the baseball stadium no longer exists and the Sixers took over Lot 2. They may not want a lot of people walking far away after being out in the sun for 5 hours or more.

Looking at their posted schedule of event times the shortest amount of time between lots opening and doors opening is two hours. Some go as high as three hours. The longest time from lots opening to show starting I see is 4:30 hours. And at that time you have to start moving in to the venue or leave the lot.

4 hours from lots opening until the posted showtime of 8pm is still a solid amount of time in the lot. (although it's no Hershey where the grass lot across the park opened at like 10am because that's when the park opens)

I estimate that if enough people show up early and start a traffic back-up on the main roads they might open up sooner than the posted time.

Decided in the second half of the most recent run to attend on 6/14. Purchased a single in Section 203, row G on stubhub for $83 including all fees. Was told this morning the seller couldn’t provide the ticket and was upgraded to Section 203, row B at no extra cost.

Also, the lot time is probably to keep trouble to a minimum. Camden is my home outdoor venue and I defend it endlessly. But the lots are known the last few years for being a huge party spot with fights especially for underage kids most of which arent actually going to the concert (and most shows, not just dmb). It's so easily accessible that people come just to party.

Regarding parking: It depends on the lot you are trying to get into...they were very strict last year with the VIP lot, and the surrounding main lots. Cars were lined up for an hour, and they didn't not start letting anyone in till 4 sharp! I did however buy tickets or a pass from an ant who was set up much further down towards the highway in a pay lot, and he was already in and set up before 4.

Night 1s are light blue. Night 2s are yellow

For years we used to park to the north of the venue (one year made the mistake of parking in the tiered parking garage). For the past 4-5 years have been parking to the south of the venue. There are fewer cars in the lots and less traffic in and out. Open at 4:00 as well, but makes for a better in/out. In addition, not really a wild scene in the lots to the south.

What’s the deal with the Pit there? I was able to grab WH n2 pit off of the instants. If I get there around noon is there already going to be a long line?

Like I mentioned earlier in the thread my wife and I are driving in for the show from Cleveland for N2 and turning right back around after the show to start the drive home. This is our first time at the venue and I need to figure out dinner. We plan on taking the PA turnpike in all the way to Philly, is there an area that has a lot of retail or restaurants we can stop to grab sandwiches or something to eat while we tailgate? Are we allowed to tailgate in the VIP parking lot? Any advice for first timers is greatly appreciated.
