    It drinks a lot like Johnnie Black. A little more smooth with less peat/smoke. A touch fruitier too.

    Hey dak, I know that they're interchangeable (whisky/whiskey) and that there's no right or wrong, correct or incorrect, but do you know the reason behind the two spellings?

    The US and Ireland use the 'e' and everyone else doesn't. Has to do with translation and we took the gaelic, everyone else used the Scottish.

    No prob. In my experience, whiskey folks aren't nearly as obnoxious as say, wine or craft beer people , so if for some reason you wrote Scotch Whiskey even in Scotland, I dunno if anyone would even care enough to correct you. Maybe as just like a tidbit of info, but I doubt in some douchebag snobby way.
