I dare any motherfucker out there to say this team has no heart, no passion, that Jeter's overrated. Fucking Nomah didn't even play, sat his ass on the bench while his team poured their hearts and played their asses off. Would Nomah have run full sprint into the stands to catch that ball?

i'll tell ya, the one thing that made that game worth watching... was seeing jeter take a nose dive into the stands and look like he was about to cry.

It was way more exciting than watching him sit his ass on the bench because he wanted an extra day of rest..

it was the trainer's that took him out...he DID just have surgery not too long ago... but whatever, i'd rather see nomar on the bench anyway. atleast that way he's not making errors.

I was just on the SOSH message board, and they are saying nomar has been involved in a 3 way trade that makes me salivate just thinking about it:

Red Sox get:
Carlos Delgado, Odalis Perez

Blue Jays get:
Izturis and minor leauge pitcher

Dodgers Get:
Nomar and Kim

something to think about instead of the outcome of the game.

That would explain why nomar never even got up on the step to cheer his team or anything. maybe he knows something!
Also Theo had a press conference scheduled for tonight, but postponed it till tomorrow.

because he costs them $19 million dollars this year, and is a free agent at the end of the season. They have already made it known they will not sign him next year, so to trade him and get some value for him, and also save $10 million thats left. Also they know they will not make the playoffs this year, so save money and re-tool for next year.

in some cases, yep. but certainly not all. it's the rivalry, really.

ever since last years incredible season, we've gained a lot of "phony fans" in the area. liking the Sox became the cool thing to do. but you get that everywhere, especially NY i would assume.

nothing pissed me off more than watching the game tonight in the pool hall where atleast 75% of the people had on Sox gear, and there were only 6 of us actually watching the game. everyone else didn't even bother to take a glance at the screen.

Re: New York Yankees

Tonight, I witnessed one of the greatest games that I will ever watch. That's really all that I can say. It was unbelievable. I got a few things to say.

1. Leskanic should have been thrown out for hitting Sheffield. He was gonna be walked, there was no reason to hit him. That's bull that he did not get thrown out.
2. Alex Rodriguez is one of the best third basemen in the majors, the "triple-play" was one of the best plays ever.
3. Derek Jeter is a WINNER. He proved it tonight. He will do anything. Overrated my ass. He did the most unselficious thing tonight. He put his body on the line just for his team. If that doesn't show his leadership, i don't know what will. If you think he is ovverated, a gaping vagina, you are a moron.
4. If you think of picking Nomar over Jeter, think about tonight. The Yankees leader dove into the crowd to save the game. The Sox leader sat on the bench all night. The only player that didn't play. The only one that was sitting down in the 13th inning. While everyone else was up on the railing, Nomar was sitting down. Where's the leadership there? Nomar over Jeter, think again.
5. Red Sox are done baby! 8.5 out and after this loss. Start worrying about the wildcard. Start worrying about the Rays!

And now, the long list of B's has a new entry.
Babe
Bucky
Buckner
Boone
Bad Glove (Ortiz)
Backup Catcher (Flaherty)

GO YANKS!!!!!!!!! Classic win for the ages tonight. The Curse lives on!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE IT. FUCK BOSTON. Jeter is my idol. He will indefinitely be to me, what Mickey Mantle was to my dad.

RUTH - GEHRIG - DIMAGGIO - MANTLE - MUNSON - MATTINGLY - JETER.

I was at that ridiculous game vs. the Padres on 6/13 when Matsui and Lofton homered Bot 9, 2 out vs. Trevor Hoffman, and I thought that was the best regular season game I ever attended, and the best game of the year so far. But whatever happened tonight, Boston as it may be, was one of the best displays of competitive baseball I have ever seen; to both the Yankees and Red Sox - WOW - what a game.

Of course the Yankees would come out on top

Me too man, me too. I started laughing my ass off when I thought it was a triple play. Then Torre came out and I realized that ONLY Manny Ramirez could get out twice on the same play.
