94. Everything is long and left. So many downhill chip shots from back there.

I personally have not been but have heard great things about the resort.

Doing a stay and play at the Grand Traverse resort the week after next. Another decent resort to check on would be Gull Lake View. Not in the middle of a whole lot but they have six courses (I’ve played one a shit ton, hosts a lot of college tournaments), including a brand new one included on Golf.com’s 100 best courses you can play.

Very disappointing 91 yesterday. Played well on the front with a 41 and backed that up with a 50 on the back. Completely fell apart the last 5 holes. On the plus side my irons were much better.

My buddy is getting crazier than me now. We're going to Denver next week, I was figuring out courses and he texts me with, "Wyoming is only 90 minutes away, I found a course to play, because when else are we going to play in Wyoming???" Then after the 4th, we're driving to Birmingham for work and he finds us a course in the NW corner of Georgia that will only add 1 hour to our drive.

I think it has to be it and I’m stuck in the trap beginners get into off the tee.

I just don’t see the right line for a right to left ball flight. I miss left. Next shot I aim further right and the the athlete in me tries to catch it and pulls it further left.

It’s really not a problem off the tee because I set up on the left side and have plenty of room left.

It’s not a huge miss. It’s definitely just a worse miss than the short right miss in terms of course management when we play.

Are you practicing with an alignment stick? Everybody's different and what helps one person might be the worst advice for somebody else but when I've been in similar situations what has helped me the most is slowing things down in practice and using an alignment stick. Made sure everything is parallel to target line at address with feet, shoulders, clubface etc. then did the pump drill to make sure sequencing was correct and make sure the shaft matched the alignment stick on the down swing. Also ball position being too far forward can turn into pulling the ball as your strike is after the low point.

I’m playing a lot and hardly practicing. Been too damn hot to hit balls at lunch. Played around 300 holes in the last month.

I also need to never play in another scramble. I come out of them f’d up every time.

It’s been too much. Only planning on playing on Friday night before we get to
    Florida.

I’m shocked how big golf is now. Everyone wants to play in the networking outings now, and some of them have swelled to 2 waves which pushes other outings out into the middle of the week. Playing in a scramble at 8AM on a Tuesday just isn’t fun.

Going to pass on these. Don’t hate them. Was hoping for something a little more patriotic for the US Open.

    Don’t like the price increase.

Pretty pedestrian 86 last night. Two birds, compounded a few mistakes and made doubles and a triple.

Was hoping to play both Sterling and Brennan, but it's looking like Brennan will be a little easier.

I'm also driving home in early August and staying in CT until October (getting married in late Sept), so I'll have lots of opportunities to play then.

The spikeless ones are cool. The US Open version from last year that they turned into a 2021 release would probably be my next purchase if I wanted a pair with Navy in them.

    https://www.footjoy.com/golf-shoes/m...nt/007USO.html

I’d probably think about getting them (I’m a sucker for limited edition stuff), but, like I said they’re more expensive than the Masters and PGA editions. Golf shop emailed everyone who has bought a pair of premieres this year and let everyone know they’re not able to discount them/increase trade value on clubs used towards them. Must have got their hand slapped.

Times at Sterling have been even harder than in years past. Honestly, for an out-of-towner like me, I just don't see much of a difference between Sterling and Oak Hills to justify the drive down and the extra $20 in greens fees.

Didn't know about the upcoming nuptials, congrats dude! We should get together for a round while you're back in the area.

By the way, you ever play the Griff in Greenwich? I'm playing at 4:30 on Friday afternoon with a few buddies. Never been there before but have heard great things.

Hear that... It's always been tough, but like all courses now, the demand is out the roof.

And thanks! Definitely down to get a round in later in the summer. Oak Hills would be great!

Nahhh golf will continue just fine. Kids are not in the picture any time soon. She does play, but not often. She also works 2 Saturdays a month so that's an open widow.

She knows it's a big stress release for me, so she's fully supportive
