I think the Warriors will win at least one in Cleveland.
I think Thompson should have shot it, he was hot.

LeBron >>> anyone since Jordan. And Jordan gets every one of those calls that LeBron didn't last night. Embarrassing officiating down the stretch. But the best in the world overcomes the refs. And JR.

Not worried for the Warriors yet. Really off night for them (other than Klay). Steph was out of sync the whole game, shooting, passing, everything. The officiating was bad, but watching Lebron frantically complain to the refs after every play is more entertaining than the game itself, so I was okay with it.

    Lololololololol.

    1. Not sure how that's relevant at all.
    2. Lebron is on a whole different level. He's the GOAT of referee complaining.

I will state for the record that Bad JR almost came back to haunt us.

Good thing is he owned up to it and posted last night that he played like shit. So hopefully he redeems himself in one of these next few games.

I mean, its a big game. He is a superstar. When you give him those calls (which the calls last night should've gone to someone like Joe Harris, let alone LBJ) all year long, I'm not surprised he was losing his shit. Its unbelievable they were missed. Even LBJ haters last night were saying its hilarious when people try to say he gets all the calls because last night proved otherwise.

But, regarding Lee's statement, I think its pretty clear Doc is the common denominator. Celts under Doc, huge whiners. Clips under Doc, even bigger whiners. They never committed a foul. Ever. I don't think its a coincidence they've been tops in the league in T's since he got there.

Oh, I totally agree it was ridiculous. He was getting hammered in the 4th. I just enjoy watching it.

And I will admit that KG is one of the least likeable players ever (if he's not on your team). I don't think Pierce complained all that much. And anyone who doesn't like him is just a hater. Paul Pierce is awesome.

I think you're looking for every person on the Internet. Give ball to LeBron, let LeBron do whatever he wants because he's always the best player on the court, only let LeBron passed ball when in dire need.

Wait. You said recently that you would of won as many championships as Phil Jackson because all you got to do is give Jordan / Shaq / Kobe the ball, but now you are saying that the Cavs coaching is more than just giving Lebron the ball. Serious question - have you watched NBA basketball?

If the Cavs do win the championship - still unlikely, but now at least feasible - it will be the most undermanned team to win a championship in a major sport since the 1988 Dodgers.

Yeah absolutely - Curry kept trying to get it going, but he was off in all aspects of his game last night. With a guy like him, he usually will shoot himself out of it, but not last night, and the Cavs knew it - would've been good to let Thompson get a look.

You have to give the Cavs credit - their defense was outstanding most of the game, especially the knee diver on Curry - he couldn't have played better defensively. If they can play grind out style games, they'll have a decent shot.

I've never seen a team pass the ball so quickly to the same guy at such a consistent pace. A rebound is pulled down by Mozgov it goes directly to Lebron. Mozgov pulls a rebound down next possession, passes to Dellavadova who then passes to Lebron BEFORE crossing half court.

Now once they cross half court, Lebron passes to another player. That player takes a dribble or 2 roughly in the same spot while Lebron posts up at elbow extended. Entry pass goes to Lebron. Lebron then again decides what the offense does from there.

Pick and roll. If both guys go with Lebron, he passes back to his teammate who set the screen. Unless there is a wide open lane/shot, that player starts dribbling back closer to give Lebron the ball again as the clock is winding down.

It would be remarkable. Barnwell put it into perspective. If you were picking teams you would pick Lebron 1st and the next 6 guys would all be Warriors.

    I was talking about defense.

I do think the 23 second or more offense is a conscious decision to limit possesions.

They've also simultaneously attacked the offensive glass and had relatively strong transition defense.

    Re: The NBA Thread

Love all these rumors that will be leading up to the draft. This one though,

There are numbers reports about several player the Knicks are “interested” in for the No. 4 pick in the 2015 NBA draft, or will they decide to trade it?

According to ESPN’s Chad Ford, the Minnesota Timberwolves are offering up a trade for Ricky Rubio and are very much interesting in grabbing another top pick in the draft to select D’Angelo Russell.
While many believe that the Mavericks and Kings are potential trade partners there are reports of the Knicks as a potential player for Rubio. The Knicks have the space to absorb his four-year, $55 million contract and he might be the what the Knicks are looking for to fit in to the triangle offense. While he is known for his assists one aspect he needs to work on is his outside shooting.

Nevertheless, Rubio seems to be a perfect fit in Phil Jacksons’ triangle offense because of his incredible court vision, not to mention he would be a terrific facilitator for high-scoring forward Carmelo Anthony. At this point of his career, Rubio clearly doesn’t want to wait another 2 or 3 years to make a serious run at the title. So do the Knicks who are banking on a good offseason to get themselves back on a right track.

The Knicks have set up workout dates for Mudiay, Winslow, Cauley-Stein and more likely to consider all their option. The Knicks might be looking for more than just a player for pick trade in the draft.
