Watching Shalane Flanagan win the NYC Marathon, first American woman to do so in 40 years, have seen her run since she was in high school as she grew up in a neighboring town. I'm so pumped for her, it's a Patriots bye week but I enjoyed this more than any of their games this year so far anyway

Bought a certified preowned patriot.

I was eyeing the Kia for reliability.. I was trying not to consider a Compass or Patriot because the transmission issues everyone knows about.. but with this being CPO I felt much better. And Ive wanted a Jeep again for years. My first car was a 2 door 89 Cherokee
Love the way it drives though . Its got the same 2.4 as the Sorento but its got significantly less weight so the engine isnt working as hard.

Has one of those flip down speakers on the back hatch for tailgating which is kinda cool too.

It seems like we are either going to go to visit her friends in Boulder, CO at the end of May or go to The Gorge in September. As happy as I would be actually being at the shows with that background it seems like literally everything else could be a pain in the ass about the trip.

This is exactly my feeling. Have thought about it many times and have family that lives in WA now so maybe it would be less of a pain in the ass if I coupled the trip with a visit to them... but still, seems like a pain in the ass.

I dont see how its that big of a pain in the ass. You can rent camping gear there I think. Just need to rent a car once you get to seattle and maybe stop at a sporting goods store to pick up a few things.

Im making my first trek out there next summer. Gonna fly into seattle the tuesday before, stay with a buddy then a few of us will drive out on friday.

Having a friend who lives out there definitely makes it cheaper and a bit easier though.

Ive driven to SPAC and Alpine from pittsburgh so a flight out to seattle seems like nothing to me. Plus Ive never been up there so seeing the city will make it even more worthwhile.

i did the Gorge in 2006. it's easy. you can fly with most of the stuff you'll need for camping, and then get the rest there

I just hardly ever camp so all of the logistics seem stressful to me. Yeah I can fly to Seattle and drive there but then figuring out which campground to stay at, what kind of tent to get and where, how to set everything up, food, weather considerations, bathing considerations, everything like that just sounds like a lot. Like every single thing you do for several days has to be figured out to the T. Also, I have a medical issue I have to constantly be on top of and I definitely wouldn't be sitting around drinking all day every day, not sure if there is stuff to do on the river during the day or if you just wait for the music at night.
