I'm pulling for Silence. Less because I voted it #1 and more because I want Matthew's stupid idiot head to explode.

I don't have enough time to see a lot of films when they first come out, hence I have only submitted one entry in this list (I think 2014), but 'Everybody Wants Some' not on this list - in the words of Matthew - is "horsehockey"

could have been a few spots higher for sure, but top 25 ain't shabby. there were worse final rankings of movies on the list imo

I didn't realize Lion ranked so low around here. Was going to try to sneak in a viewing before the awards but now I'm thinking I'll hold off.

I wish we could submit entire lists so my ranking of Silence in the 100's could have torpedoed that turd.

La La Land wasn't my favorite of the year but I'm fine with it winning. As far as I can remember, Ants hasn't picked a winner that I abjectly disliked. I'm pretty sure I've liked all of our winners quite a bit.

Yeah, I don't remember you taking issue with any of the above winners. It looks like this will be the second time we sync up with the Academy.

    I had those:

    1
    1
    1
    7
    14
    4
    2

So, 12 Years was my biggest gripe. Still liked the movie though. Still surprised Her didn't win that year.

So, 12 Years was my biggest gripe. Still liked the movie though. Still surprised Her didn't win that year.
    Closest race we've ever had.

So honest question, do you all really see 50+ movies a year? That's impressive. Do you all catch most of these in theaters or at home when they hit red box or the stores?

I saw 57 releases from 2016, and I watched 37 of them in theaters. I watched La La Land, Rogue One, and Captain America: Civil War twice in theaters.

I'd say I'm in the minority when it comes to being such an avid theatergoer though.
