The Edge is highly regarded among guitarists for what he wrote and what he does despite not being known as a virtuoso who can improvise, it was more of an honor that he wanted to be on stage with them, not so much Dave saying "These fans are in for something tonight!"

You can see him saying during the performance "i have no idea what im doing, im just making shit up". My theory is they band put him up to it without him knowing what song it would be.

I was at that camden show, and I liked it <shrug>

I remember it getting a lot of negative feedback but I thought it was pretty cool. the maker to me is a song that I really don't think is very good, except for LiC; that version is one of my favorite versions of any song they've done. weird how that happens; can't put my finger on what's different.

Oh Gawwwd!! Bob Dylan has to be one of the all-time worst concerts I’ve ever been to. My ears still hurt from that mess!

Not DMB, but the worst guest I've ever seen at any show was Bob Dylan with Bruce Springsteen. Shea Stadium 2003. It was terrible, a video probably exists somewhere.

This was what occurred to me as well.

Couldn't hear her at all on DDTW and they didn't play Spoon. That was a great show (7.20.99) but a huge missed opportunity.

That’s also the last FULL Last Stop they played before it turned into Half Stop.

I really like Soul Coughing, but Mike Doughty is without a doubt the worst guest I have ever seen with DMB. His scatting on Jimi Thing at the 12/10/05 (MSG) and 12/12/05 (NH) shows were atrocious. Whatever he was trying to do, did not work for my taste.

For a show I was at, it has to be Neil Young on Watchtower at C-ville 2001.

Outside of my own shows, the Mike McCready guest spot on Spoon where he's barely even audible is probably the most disappointing, in terms of what I would expect vs. what it ended up being. Maybe a SBD release of that one would allow him to be heard?
