Thanking Dave for "Grey Street"

Hi, everyone!

Long time Ant, but this is my first post in many many years. I was at the SPAC shows last weekend, and things got pretty emotional for me up in the balcony on N2. I decided to write about it for my blog, so if you could give that a read, I would really appreciate it.

I taught myself to play guitar 19 years ago by learning DMB songs, and now I'm a full-time musician who gigs all over. "Grey Street" was the first DMB song I tried to teach myself was I was a kid. It took a long time to get it exactly like Dave plays it, of course. I never thought I'd hear the 3rd verse live ever, so when they played it at SPAC on Saturday, it really hit me hard. I hope this is the right place for this thread. If not, just let me know. And if anyone has a connection to the band and could maybe send this article his way, that'd mean the world to me.

Seriously though Justin, that was a heartfelt appreciation you wrote. I'm glad you got to hear that 3rd verse! One little note, LeRoi passed in 2008, not '09.

Selfishly, I only got Grey Street as Dave solo in my '21 shows, hope I it sticks around next tour too.

I did manage to see Grey Street in '02 with Roi before the third verse was dropped.

Man, when I saw that on his IG, I legit freaked out. I was in a hotel room in Plattsburgh getting ready for a gig and started jumping around. That felt good. So so grateful to him for sharing; the response has been great. Whereabouts in the 518 are you?
