This weekend definitely took my excitement to another level. The band sounds in sync and are only going to be better by the time they hit the Creek. The setlist feels like anything is game, whether you like the songs or not, they are at least shaking things up. I'm excited to see what they bring to a 2 night run.

It’s pretty hilarious after the year and a half we’ve had, ants has resumed its full normalcy of negativity after 2 shows.

This place has truly been a self parody of itself for a while, but this is just another level. No, they didn’t play perfect shows, and i enjoy a good articulate discussion about the sets, but good grief some people! haha

Also - both shows' sets are infinitely more exciting/interesting than any pre-Iowa sets that opened up Summer 2019. So this tour has that going for it so far.

Setlist bitching from home will never cease. Either mad because songs they wanted got played or mad the setlist they envisioned didnt materialize.

There is a bit of an echo chamber here, think Twitter. Same people over multiple threads saying the same things. Best advice is dont feed the trolls, judge for yourself either by listening later or attending. People that actually attended tend to judge it with rose colored glasses, people that didnt attend, tend to be more negative on the down spots.

Thought tonight was pretty rad. There was a string of 5 songs that don’t really bring the heat when they are all together in a row. After, i thought they closed the set on pretty good run. Nobody wants to see shake me close the shoe they are at, but they got a 3 song encore on a night they played 23 songs from a band that had barely gone over 20 the last 2 years. Considering the encore started at 10:40…those 3 songs worked for time.

Well, Venue Stats a little weird here today.

Since 1995, the regular stop for the Atlanta show has been Lakewood. 2009 was an outlier that saw Alpharetta stand in during the Spring tour. Since, it hosted Dave & Tim in 2017 and the last 2 times the band has stopped there. DMB also has regularly hit up GA on Fall tours. Then, factor in that the band from 1994 and before played a lot of smaller places in GA. So I can't really just call it "Atlanta" stats. Alpharetta is too small a sample size. Plus there's a Dave & Tim show that make stats weird. Soooo..."summer in Atlanta" stat it is! Split Alpharetta & Lakewood (& Piedmont Park in 2007)
