this is buried deeeeeeeeep in the new studio thread, but thought it deserved its own thread.

the only truly 'done' studio track is Walk Around the Moon and its for the Matrix 4 soundtrack not a new album. and maybe we aren't getting a full album till spring 2022 as a result and the new tracks we've heard is all they got for now and not just a sample of all the songs from the new album.

would sync up with all the red pill blue pill IG hints and the lyrics themselves to WATM. and the time period we saw dave, fonz, buddy and rashawn in the studio in LA and NYC from IG putting the finishing touches on....seems like only enough time for 1 song. and Rashawn 'y'all have no idea whats coming'.....maybe we do now....maybe

for some newbies, dmb had a paul oakenfold remix of WTWE for the matrix 2 soundtrack.

and yes i do enjoy ellipsis, or do i...

Well I hope it's just the track and not a remix. That Oakenfold remix is nauseating.

As the guy who came up with the theory, I'm leaning more towards it being a fun speculation and less something that will actually happen.

I don't know. But I do know that I'm old enough to remember buying the entire Scream 2 soundtrack on CD just to get Help Myself.

I stayed through the end credits in the movie theater just to hear that song play.

I should've left. That's the one and only time I heard that version.

That's pretty much exactly how it happened, yes. And then I was embarrassed while walking out for asking them to stay.

I did that too for the studio cut of Help Myself..
Still have the CD. D'Angelo's cover of She's Always In My Hair is another reason to own that album.

at least Reloaded was pretty awesome. A lot better than the abomination of the third entry in the series.

The Matrix exists, for me, as a stand-alone movie. I don't need the next to movies for a trilogy, the last two movies were kinda garbage to me.

I actually just rewatched the first in the trilogy last night (because this thread reminded me!) and I agree, still an awesome film.

Not the first movie to ever explore the “what if we’re living in an AI construct” theme, by a long shot, but the best-executed one (IMO).
