I truly think it's because they overplayed BW on tour and then did very little to promote the album as a whole on social media these past 6 years.

When comparing BW to AFTW its simple... just compare 2009-2010 attendance to 2012-2013 and you have your answer. The band did it right with BW. Steady decline since.

I'd probably rank the songs something like this:

Shake Me Like a Monkey
You & Me

I agree with this. I find BW the most "re-listenable" of the newer albums.

In my head I always think Hello Again and Bayou are on BW.

Those could fit on BW very nicely. The rest of SU can just get scrubbed from the earth.

BW is almost 10 years now. Damn!

I think squirm is a great song... some really dark lyrics on that one. I have a love- hate relationship with most of the album tho. None of these songs I really would care to see live except maybe hands of god.

Same here, although I could sometimes put Stand Up ahead of AFTW, but generally SU is last for sure..

In terms of record production quality SU is last by a million miles, I generally only care about songwriting and there is far more music I like on SU than AFTW, AFTW is pointless IMO aside from maybe Mercy

I still can't process anyone liking the music off ED and SU more than any of the band's other albums, BUT that's what so awesome about music. We all like different aspects of music and songs for countless intangible reasons.

What's funny it that we generally accept this from each other, but Dave and band get near ZERO slack. They're playing songs they wrote, songs that they are playing well, songs that they and MANY fans love, songs that are hits or well known, songs that are rare (more rarely)...

Black and Blue Bird, When I'm Weary, Here on Out, Samauri Cop, Again and Again, Virginia in The Rain, and CoCo are not bad songs in my opinion. They sound exactly like what I would imagine the follow-up to Some Devil to sound like.

I actually enjoy the entire CT album, but I would be hard pressed to choose songs on there I would rather hear than off of SD. Some of Dave's best music is on SD, which is exactly why that prick never plays it lol.
