Re: Share your unpopular DMB opinions.
Here I go: my 5 unpopular thoughts
1) I think that DMB are like good wine: the older they get, the better they get. That’s why I am loving the 4.0 Era. And I don’t complain for any new 2019 release. I think that, starting from very solid base, they even increased in creativity of the jams, quality of the solos and overall performance (the have more songs to chose from).
2) I think that there should be more LT and broadcasting/videos of international shows. I love the vibes of the few South American shows available (see for example LT19).
3) I do miss a violin in some songs (but not necessarily Boyd’s violin), but I was missing more the keyboards. Buddy Strong brings more to the overall music than the long, energetic, but somehow static, jams from Boyd. Well, maybe this one though is not so unpopular.
4) I am not a huge fan of fall ‘98 live shows. Great setlist, I would say perfect setlist, but less songs to chose from. Most of the concerts were looking the same. Not a big variation also on the versions of a certain songs. Some jams were awesome, sure, but I think we have more now (see point no.1).
5) I would love to see a special guest on every show. For example, having regularly on stage a percussionist like Pedrito Martinez (but not on every song, say on Ants and some more) would be so much fun. I imagine spectacular duets with Carter.

Since no.1 and no.4 are close relatives, I’ll add one more:
6) The most underrated song of DMB is, in my opinion, ‘So Right’. They should make more out of it.
