Yeah, but probably not in active rotation with the band as a whole. I seem to recall that D&T performance was a little rough.

But interesting that Shotgun was on his mind then, also, since he was noodling the riff during the soundcheck in Mexico.

Maybe on Dave’s mind when he worked on it for that show, but yeah that’s D+T. There’s a good amount they do regularly that the band doesn’t. Based on what was shared with me made it seem like the band hasn’t worked on it in a long time

It could very well be revisited in the studio, or if it has been already, likely the Cavallo take (2015?), hence the not been on the bands mind lately. It could also be rehearsed and busted out anytime. Just hasn’t been rehearsed in a while

So when you get FaceTime with someone in the band do you actually talk about songs and the new album? I could see how it’s easy to bring up the new album but asking about other stuff seems like it wouldn’t be as easy. I personally can’t imagine sitting with Jeff and saying how ants feels about certain songs and what majority of us really want unless he was interested in it.

I can't imagine Shotgun is on the new album considering how unpolished it was lyrically. If it mirror the '06 versions or had more than just Dave wailing, I would think differently. Although, I say that and COCO lyrically is pretty half-assed so who the hell knows

Shotgun being on the album to me feels like more of a long shot than ggt, sugar will, break for it, etc.

I’d say chances are more realistic just 1-2 MAX songs pre 2019 make the album than it being a true throw back. But I do like the chances of 1 or 2 making it at this point!!

They haven't played full band Bismarck since 2017. Dave & Tim Mexico in '18 and '22 are the last two times Dave sang it to a crowd. What a shame.

never cared much for break for it or break free for that matter but i have to say, i'm really enjoying the recordings from Wednesday night. I love the vibe of break for it and the different outro for break free is awesome. Buddy is at his best in my opinion when he plays like he does in the outro of break free. Also, i finally caught up with ggt from Mexico and really like the new lyrics which have corollaries to break for it (the world is a mess, lets take a step back and enjoy being together, etc.) which i could see constituting a strong contrast against songs like madman's eyes. also love the line "too many ghosts in here" from break for it and i think Ghosts in Here would be a cool album title.

Bismarck was only played by DMB in 2016. The rest is Dave & Tim. 2017 had a good chunk of times, then twice in Mexico (2018 & 2022).

I love the DMB 25 collection version of Break For It....such a chill song, great summer vibes. "I think this'd be a good drivin' Song!" Hope they bust it out for one of my shows!

Scrapping a really solid, classic sounding, DMB tune is pretty in-line with what we know about this band. Really a shame, love Bismarck.
