Yep, it's got 10 plays so far this tour. Only three other tunes have more plays and three others also have 10 plays.

Dave confirmed WAtM was the song they got excited about in one his intros to the tune early last year.

Has Grey St. ever been played without the Carter intro? Just directly into the song?

They tried doing PNP > Grey Street once. Maybe he didn't do the intro, but I'm not sure.

In one of the 2020 SiriusXM interviews, Dave specifically mentioned WATM by name. It was one of his classic “I think the name of the song is Walk Around the Moon”. He even revealed that it was about eating psychedelic mushrooms

It isn't surprising to hear Dave talk highly about something he just created but either way I like it a lot and glad it continues to get a lot of play

While working today Ive been listening to DMB’s SiriusXM channel and they played Shotgun from Burgettstown, PA ’07. That’s got to be the best version of that song since that ‘06 Charlottesville one.

Possibly Hollywood Bowl 2007 n2. They went from ABI (intro) into Grey Street.

He did 4 hi hat hits instead of his normal intro at the 2/3/2018 night before show. That was a bit of a low.

Does the almanac know they've been interpolating the Lost in Space theme at the end of Billies for like 10 years now?

Huh. Had never heard that but just went to check it out. Interesting. It’s really deteriorated over the years. I understand Carter is getting older, just a bummer. I remember the 11.5.21 version was pretty weak.

Does anyone else wish Dave would sing one continuous note on the falsetto part of “every fire dies out” in You Never Know instead of breaking it into two notes? Every single time I hear it I think maybe he’ll do it this time, but no.

Random thought that doesn't need its own thread: After the Gorge, Deer Creek is the best place to see DMB among the regular sheds.

Deer Creek is the only "destination venue" I've been to. Gorge is at the top of my wishlist but I gotta say, SPAC looks really really cool and they seem to get unique shows. Have you been there too, and would still take DC?

Go to SPAC every year and went to The Gorge last year. SPAC has Gorge energy without the cool views. Haven't been to DC, so not sure if it has that same feel as SPAC or not. Appears SPAC gets consistently better shows than DC though

Been to about 50 venues, including Gorge (although not since 2004), Alpine and SPAC. Indy is easier to get to, more diverse crowds (age, racially and where everyone is from), and is less physically taxing than Alpine and SPAC.

Ran into some fellow concert goers on a disc golf course in around Indy this past weekend.

We didn’t talk much but both of those gentlemen had been to upwards of 60-70 shows and they travel every at least once every year to see the band. They mention they try to go to different places but decided that they wanted to go BACK to Indy.

Indy is a fine city, but it’s not a destination city in my mind. Out of the big 3, I’ve only been to Alpine but I think any given year DC shows have a chance to compare well to Alpine and SPAC, Gorge seems to be a different beast especially with the additional night.

What? Indy absolutely is a destination venue. The whole surrounding area is taken over by out of town DMB fans.

No I mean, Indy itself is not a destination city for like vacations and such.

Like I said, Indy is a good time, but its not like Chicago, New York City, etc.

They just happen to get DMB shows that slap so its turned into that for DMB fans.

When I went this weekend, it was for bachelor party where we played disc golf and went to DMB. If DMB wasnt there, we were not going to Indy.

DC is absolutely a destination venue.

What I was referring to was this idea that the fellow fans I ran into, one of which was from the west coast and the other the east coast, decided they wanted to come BACK to Indy wasn't to hit up Broadripple.

It was because the vibe around DC is epic and the shows tend to be bangers.

DC is a great time. Indy is a fine city for a weekend. Plenty to do during the day to keep you busy before showtime.

DC as a venue is top notch from a logistical and experience perspective. Absolutely should be considered one of the few destination weekends left for this band.

Chicago Ants are so lucky that they're a 3 hour or under drive from not one, but two destination venues.

Yes, not trying to disparage Indy at all, more so just emphasizing the reason people come to/back to shows at DC is because of the venue (best lawn I have experienced) and the shows the band tends to churn out.

My original post on this was not clear enough.

Absolutely, also very comforting to know that DC is there when they don't play at Alpine on a given year.
