Got decent uppers in the presale. Looking forward to this summer! Blossom is by far my favorite venue! Probably do our pre-tailgate at Brubaker's Pub if anyone is interested.

Got uppers from the WH....tried for pit during Citi sale, struck out, but I did grab a parking pass. It's on a Tuesday, so I don't want to deal with the parking mess on a work night. Looking forward to the show!

Definitely need the VIP parking. The regular lots are such a mess.

Cleveland area has a strong lineup for concerts this year. I know we got skipped last year, but I really wonder if demand takes any kind of hit due to everything else that is coming to town. I know my 2020 concert schedule is a lot bigger than I anticipated lol (Rage, The Stones, DMB, Dead & Co.)

Got tickets to this show! First time going to Blossom! I have been to Riverbend how do they compare? Can you get the VIP Parking if you didn't request it during the WH Presale? Oh will they hit instant tickets?

Blossom is on a whole different level than Riverbend, you are going to enjoy yourself! The venue is beautiful, the surrounding park is beautiful, there are tons of craft beer vendors inside. I grew up near Cincy and always enjoy concerts at Riverbend, but everything about Blossom is better.

I'm curious as well - we're going to Blossom and Riverbend for our first time this year (thanks for skipping TX DMB.). Historically are the sets different enough when they've played both venues back to back? We're used to The Woodlands/Dallas shows that tend to be considered a 2night stand when it comes to the setlist. I'm hoping for the same in OH!

Typically the sets between the venues are not that different but they usually play them spaced out not back to back

    A few things:

    1. Parking/leaving the venue is a genuine concern here. The venue is set way back in the national park with only a few two-lane roads in and out. I recommend arriving early (4:00ish) and leaving at the encore to beat traffic, but just be ready to wait if you arrive closer to the start or stay right to the end of the show.

    2. My best kept Blossom secret: there is a restaurant inside the venue. It opens before the gates do. Call today and make a reservation, and the venue staff will literally come to the gates and open them just for you. After you eat, you can wander around and admire the beautiful amphitheater, beat the beer lines, grab a choice spot on the lawn, etc. It’s a bit pricey and the food is good but not great (relative to fine dining expectations, it’s a legit restaurant, way better than concessions), but it really makes for a great experience. Also pairs well with arriving early to beat traffic.

    3. If you like hiking/outdoors, then the park is absolutely worth a day trip. There are plenty of short hiking trails/loops (even some less than a mile), and also some multi-day trails, so you can choose just the right amount for you.

    4. Have lunch at the Winking Lizard. Good bar food, and there will be a DMB crowd.

    5. Cedar Point is only about 90 minutes away, I like to stay about halfway between Blossom and CP for cheaper hotels and quick-ish access to both.

    6. If you like Kombucha, or just craft beer generally, look for Wild Ohio inside the venue and try their tea-beer. I’ve been dreaming of that stuff since I had one (and then about six more) at the 2018 show.

Hope you have a great show!

I bought a premier parking pass on Live Nation yesterday - $57 after fees. THere is VIP for $75+Fees. VIP lot is literally right next to the entrance, and doubles as the handicap lot. THe Premier are the other paved lots, that basically park first come, first served, in terms of how close to the gate. Without a pass, you are walking anywhere from a half to a full mile from lot to gate. All free parking is grass lots. I don't think the VIP is worth the extra $25, the premier basically guarantees you should be out in 30 mins or so.

If you are in the grass lots and don't want to miss any music, here is my strategy that pretty much works every time. First off, back into your parking spot...you do not want to have to back out of a grass spot when it's a crazy free-for-all to get out....one year it took me an hour just to back out (lesson learned). Second, during the encore break, make your way to the back of the lawn. Once they are done playing, head to the gates and run/book it to your car. You should be out in no time.

Same - Burgettstown is my "home venue," but everything about the experience at Blossom is better. One of the best venues I've been to, and I've seen my fair share.

Blossom is awesome. Did SPAC last year for the first time and the venue itself is less then Blossom. Granted everything else about SPAC is better... the track, town of Saratoga, atmosphere, not having to sprint to the car during the encore... etc but give me blossom all day long.

To be fair...King's Island has been upping is coaster game since being purchased by Cedar Fair. Mystic Timbers, Banshee, and Diamondback are all Cedar Point-level rides and Orion is sure to be as well when it opens.

This is the single best piece of advice. Watching the encore from the top of the hill can easily save 30 mins or more of waiting in line to exit the parking lots.

Not that this comes as a surprise to anyone, but this show is not looking promising for the scheduled date. Thomas Rhett was supposed to play Blossom on 6/6, he just rescheduled to 9/10.

I can deal with it being rescheduled. Even if they can't reschedule it until October, that's cool, I'll just dress appropriately for the temperatures.

Yeah - as much as i WANT there to be a realistic chance, I just can't see it. I have a whole brewery / concert infused long weekend planned with my brother to go to SPAC - I'd give anything to have that happen, but as it sits right now, I'm borderline shocked they haven't cancelled the tour already.

Like it's not only that - my brother is married recently - 14 month old - like this was our excuse to do something together - DMB is the one thing we kinda get to do together, it predates his wife, so it usually gets her blessing (we went to the Gorge for the first time last year, etc) so it's just something we get to have just for the two of us - and there's NOTHING we like more than hard to get beers and some DMB - so to kinda be faced with the reality of losing all that (on top of just losing getting to see the band when we know they likely have a finite amount of time left to tour) is just a shitty reality all the way around.

I'm sure everyone has their own story, but that's mine. It's just a pretty miserable existence right now (and yes, I know some have it way worse, before someone gets up in arms over me lamenting my personal situation).
