Those are the sections behind the stage.

I wasn't referring to Sections 422-429 and 115-118. I mean the pockets of grayed-out seats in the other parts of the arena bowl and floor that are in front of the stage (see attached pic).

There is not. It'll probably end by 11, but could run over without a problem.

I think those might have been for the Citi Presale because I pulled a pair in one of those sections.

Looks like Mumford & Sons are the next night at Capital One Arena. They'll have a few days off between that and their previous gig at MSG on 12/10. Perhaps we see a repeat guest appearance by Marcus on Watchtower?

There are plenty of parking options in Chinatown or City Center. Shouldn’t have a problem.

My advice - park under the Shakesphere theater. It’s open one hour Fter any event ends so you don’t need to worry about your garage closing early on a week day.

It’s $25 so there’s much cheaper options but if you don’t want to walk far or don’t feel confident identifying good street parking, or are worried about a garage closing at 11:00 and at 10:59 they bring on the Pietasters to play with them on BTCS in its entirety, then it’s worthwhile.

It’s also easy to get in and out of.

They've started doing this bs dynamic parking for street parking so a garage/lot might be worth it depending on when you arrive. The signs are always confusing as hell too. Just be careful of the mentioned early closings or being $50.

If you go for street parking, which is certainly possible, head SE of the venue around the DC courthouse complex. No businesses are open down there at night and there are almost always spots. Starting around 4:30 spots open up as folks go home.

If anyone has a lead on decent seats I'll happily pay face + I can almost certainly get you free garage parking in my building which is 1.5 blocks from the venue. Got shut out at both on sales of anything but uppers.

Also generally happy to give neighborhood advice/recs, not on here much so email is the best way to ask.

just came to this thread to see if people were bitching about the prices and saw this, I live in arlington and work in DC, just Uber it's so fast and easy and inexpensive. Metro is a mess, avoid at all costs.

They might extend metro! Sometimes they hold the last train going through if there is an event at the arena. If you take an uber/lyft after the show, just walk a few blocks away from the arena to avoid surge pricing. Have fun!

Metro needs a corporate sponsor to pay for it.

I have a cousin that lives a few blocks away from Union Station so I'm going to hit this show, too. Flying into DC from St Louis on Thursday and then taking Amtrak to C'ville on Friday.

If anyone winds up with a decent single they need to get rid of, let me know!

Work trip scheduled today for 12/8 - 12/22 in DC; what luck! Have not had the chance to see a fall/winter tour date in all my years of DMB fandom as I live on the West Coast. Single ticket purchased today and will be staying in Arlington, VA. Super excited!

I pulled section 1 row H, best seats I've ever gotten. Can't wait for this show, nothing like the convenience of a show 15 mins from my apartment.

TM is still selling what appears to be unlimited pits at platinum rates. I expect to see a drop in the days leading up to the show. Do not buy platinum tickets, your feeding the dragon.

Pulled some great lower bowl seats at a very reasonable price from Ticketmaster yesterday after deciding to extend our Charlottesville trip to fit in this stop. Plenty of seats still available.

I'm not sure why I'm surprised, but there's a TON of tix left for Capital One. Shit's going to look horribly empty unless they do a big promotion (like a Goupon or something).

For those interested, there are still a lot of good seats. I saw Gabriel/Sting with my son in the last row of section 402, where the sound was excellent and the view pretty danged good. Me thinks many have gotten two concerned about the perceived quality of the seats and less so about how great the band will sound. I'm not talking about the obstructed view seats or those horribly perpendicular to the stage, but the overwhelming majority that will provide a clear view or all of the action. I do understand wanting good seats, but most of my favorite concerts have only been good seats and my absolute favorites have usually fallen well outside the Ants notion of good and I gave no poopies.

To each there own. I hope everyone is happy with their seats and enjoys the show. Cheers.
