But that wasn’t dependent on the release method, that was based on meme-ification and viral marketing (plus merchandising the hell out of it).
What I’m saying is for a property this big, you don’t need a weekly release schedule to keep it in the conversation. There’s tons of examples to show that’s true.

I guess YMMV, I haven’t found that to be the case (in fact, it’s a bit the opposite for me and I find myself needing refreshers or “last week on...” type intros for weekly dropped shows).
I’m not terribly against what they’re doing with releasing it in parts, I’m just saying it isn’t necessary for them to do as far as the business is concerned. I’m fine either way - I can be patient and I love the content and underlying source material so I’m just happy it exists. If you told me 10 years ago that “WandaVision” would be a pop culture hit, I’d have laughed my ass off. What they’ve pulled off is downright impressive
