yup! partly smarter GM/coaching, partly player movement, and partly the injuries/covid stuff

which is a shame bc the league has never been less entertaining. the reviews for last night’s Boston/Dallas game took 10 real time minutes for two meaningless formalities in the last 90 seconds. review this review that. i’d rather they just get calls wrong and move on at this point

the announcers have never been worse, national and local. just stupidity all around. the game is 10x more entertaining on mute just because it’s better than listening to garbage

the way they’re officiating is just...wow. i get that missing calls is part of the game but...wow. they fix the rip through and the landing spot a couple years ago, but they take two steps backward how they’re handicapping the defense. you’ve got shooters jumping into guys more than ever, touch fouls on minimal body contact, more baiting than ever by guards.

the covid stuff is understandable, it’s pretty much like a season with a whole bunch of injuries. but a bummer for marquee games.


i’m really only watching bc i’m a super fan and the game is great. the actual product is no fun. i see no way a casual fan could stay engaged with this product

Poeltl might be our mvp by the end of the year. he’s turning into quite the elite rim protecting center

really unimpressed with Lowry, first time watching him since he’s been back. gotta think dealing him is in the cards, given how good they’ve been without him

Baynes also having just a crappy year

Looney being able to contribute more could be a game changer for Golden State who already has a pretty good defense. such a great switch defender (even though Sabonis is playing well)

Neto/Hachimura/Lopez along with Beal/Westbrook has been effective shutting everything down but the Murray pnr

Campazzo/Porter/Morris/Nnaji with Murray was good neutralizing everyone but Beal. Jokic kinda blowing it and Westbrook taking advantage

this loss is on Malone. you bring Jokic in to torpedo your defense and rebounding, yet they did not run a single play through him down the stretch on offense, pretty much guaranteeing him to be a net negative. absurd

another great win by Washington. they seem to have struck gold upping Lopez and Neto’s minutes, decreasing Matthews and Wagner, and having Hachimura lift off at the right time. the offense looks much smoother and the defense more cohesive by far the last few times i’ve seen em
