Again if you remember during the fuse doc, they showed some clips of the band jamming to a progression, it was labeled as from the 2006 sessions. The progression is the same as the progression Tim plays over in the scene you are talking about.

I'm not going to watch it again and find the time, but during the fuse documentary they show some footage of them playing. The caption says 2006 sessions. Dave is playing the small guitar, stefan's hair is long, and they are jamming on this chord progression. Later on, it shows footage of the sessions in new orleans. And Tim is laying down an overdub over a progression in the studio while Dave and Rob watch. That progression or that piece of music sounds exactly like the piece of music they were playing from the previous footage from the 2006 sessions.

YES. It's in the Jeff interview. It just shows him playing the main riff Tim plays there very briefly.
