***Official Pilgrimage Festival 2021 (Franklin, TN)***

Not going to setup anymore. My old supervisor is no longer going but her team is still going. She's still hooking me up with a work pass though.

I asked her about the grounds and if she heard anything. She told me talked to her rep earlier yesterday AM and everything still is a go. They're set to load in tomorrow. So I assume if something changes I'll hear it.

There are two on-site parking lots (North Lot, South Lot) which were sold out in advance. Day-of parking is available for $30/day at three off-site lots on first come/first served basis (map in link above). If you're coming from I-65, the Ligon Field lot (via freeway exit 65) and the Liberty Elementary lot (via freeway exit 67) look to be the best bets.

The local paper has a page related to logistics around the festival (road closures, parking info, etc.)…a lot of the info is copy/pasted from the festival website. But it also includes a link to a $50 Uber voucher that can be used for one drop-off or one pick-up within 3 miles of the festival site on either Saturday or Sunday. I entered the code in my Uber wallet and it's legit; I now have $50 that I can spend on a ride if need be. Uber voucher is sponsored by Gorge Dickel, which I can also confirm is legit bourbon.

Thanks for the links and info everyone, just got the Uber credit. I don't have a parking pass, so I guess I'll just use that or the shuttle.

I don't know the area or the walkability, I'm in a hotel in the Cool Springs area and it looks a bit far.

I did have to trek on foot from the Charlotte show back to my hotel, which was two miles, so I guess it's doable

If you’re good with a 30-min walk or so. According do the road closure info, they’re reserving the northbound lane of Franklin Road from downtown up to Harlinsdale Farm for pedestrians…so evidently they’re anticipating a lot of foot traffic coming from downtown.

They did for D&T pilgrimage a couple years ago and this past year at railbird. Hoping these tickets on stubhub drop back down. As low as $60 last sat. And $75 today. Missed out so will be looking.

Yeah it’s a bit of a stretch to walk from Cool Springs over to Harlinsdale….not that there aren’t sidewalks all along the way, but it is indeed a trek! Maybe Saturday walk in the morning when you’re full of energy, and Uber back at the end of the night…then shuttle both ways on Sunday?

Thanks! Keep an eye out on the Pilgrimage FB page, it seems like every time they post, there are comments of people selling tickets for "below face," but not exactly sure of the price.

Should mention in years past Pilgrimage has done Hatch Show Prints with the full lineup, keep an eye out for one of those too if you're a poster person.

How is the Cool Springs area? Anything good around there?

As with similar events, Ubers will probably be most scarce when everyone is trying to get out of there at the same time. So if you don't feel bad about missing some/all of The Black Keys (final act on Saturday), you'd have a better chance of walking-up at 8:30-9pm to get an Uber without much of a wait. The good thing about the shuttle bus is, you're guaranteed a seat as long as you're back at the pick-up point within an hour after the end of the final act's set.

In terms of Cool Springs, it's pretty much a standard higher-end suburban area (indoor mall, big-box stores, etc). I don't really spend a lot of time down there so I'm not too sure, sorry!

I'm only going on Sunday, and once I get there I'll probably just park my lawn chair/blanket near the Midnight Sun Stage and catch all the acts there prior to DMB. If 'School of Rock' actually had Jack Black in it, that might have dragged me over to the Lil' Pilgrims stage for a bit lol. As it is, my kids are still a little to young to go to a festival...which sucks because it would've been nice to have this be their first DMB show - and they don't even need tickets!
