Xbone has actual games. Ps4 just kinda wobbles

There are definitely performance issues with fallout. That's Bethesda though. Their games are always buggy. They will patch the console versions quickly.

Is Fallout the type of game with a continuing story? I've never played any of the prior editions, I'm wondering if there's a cohesive story that would make playing 4 difficult to follow. It looks interesting and I need a new game to play but I'm worried I'll be lost following the story/concept/references.

I'm wondering the same thing. Never played Fallout before. I like games like GTA, Uncharted, Last of Us and Tomb Raider. Would I like it and is it easy to follow/play?

I don't think it matters honestly. I've never played one though just going by what I've read. If you have an Xbox one you get fallout 3 for free with fallout 4. So that might help that situation anyways.

I wouldn't get it hoping it's similar to those games. Fallout is an rpg.

Last of Us is so fucking awesome. Best game I've ever played, right alongside Arkham City.

I think it's along the lines of Far Cry where it's all the same universe, but different characters and settings for each game. I'm sure there are things you won't quite get, but I don't think playing the previous games is a requirement.

Nah gta isn't an rpg. When I think rpg it's games like Diablo, Wow etc. There are a bunch of games now that are shooters that borrow the core elements of games like that to make a different type of rpg. Borderlands, fall out and to a lesser extent dying light and dead rising come to mind. Games that are centered around you sinking in hours and hours to better your character through use of some type of skill tree. They also usually have some type of loot system so you are always hunting for better gear.

It was, but for this new one I read the studio that made the game teamed up with Microsoft Studios, so I imagine that has something to do with this being XBox only at first.

Pulled the trigger and ordered Tomb Raider, Fallout and Assassins Creed Syndicate from Target. Such a sucker. I'm REALLY done buying games for the year.

Also, PS4 still a paperweight. Having a tough time actually selling it though.

Think people are upset there is no campaign. Plus it's probably overshadowed with Fallout. I played the beta, it was good but wasn't making me want to buy at release day. Had it been out today though, I would've gotten that as my free game instead of AC.

Xbox One.

If you're a fan of Halo, Halo 5 is amazing. Now a days when it comes to buying systems it just comes down to the system exclusives and what system your friends play on (if you play online with friends).

If you're already an xbox owner, I'd suggest just keeping with that system. I've been xbox fangirl for 10+ years and bought my first PlayStation since PS2 this year. I have barely touched it. Not that it's bad, but I just am so used to xbox and it feels better to me, personally.

I'm the opposite as you Sara, I've owned PS2, PS3 and PS4, and just recently got a Bone earlier this year. While it's pretty fun, I definitely prefer the Dualshock 4 to the Bone's controller (and I don't exactly have small hands, either)

You're just opposite in the system that feels best to you, but the theory still applies (couldn't tell if that's what you were saying or not). Which is why I told him to stick with what he knows, the xbox.

Prior to be being an xbox girl I loved the PS and hated the xbox. Only bought it because of Halo and loathed the xbox controller. But now either controller is fine for me.

Saw there's a Gears of War 4 coming out so now I'm on the fence about getting an Xbox instead of the PS4. I love that franchise. Even broke out the game a few weeks ago and played the horde mode till the wee hours of the morning. So much fun. Serious dilemma now.

I'm not sure there's enough PS only games to convince me to change now.

my roommates daughter is flipping shit, she pre-ordered and selected deliver on release date. up until about an hour ago it said being delivered today by 8pm then it switched to tomorrow by 8pm.
