For everyone saying this will be great live, be prepared to be disappointed. So much of what is good about this song is in the production

I wonder if Dave recorded his vocals in 2008. His voice sound way younger on this recording in comparison to the rest of the album. Its kind of odd. I love this song. Just its kind of funny hearing the difference in his voice. It still sounds great...just clearly older.

How could you possibly say that with never hearing it live? Songs have the ability to take completely different forms in a live setting. Even though it was live before studio #41 is a great example. I’m not saying it’s going to be good, but based on the talent I’m always hopeful.

This is why I hope they don’t record Shotgun or Sugar Will or Crazy-Easy at this point. His voice is too different for them now.

The reason I can say it is in the post where I say it.

I was thinking this too but more because he is actually singing in the right range, in A&A and DYR he is singing higher and it is really strained.

This one, B&BB, IOY, CT all in the right range for Dave, I don't know why everything has this strained high singing (fake falsetto thing going on?!)

Oh god this song is so good. I don't think I've ever liked a song this much after the first listen. The beginning of the song made me thing they were stealing from when the levee breaks.

I don't know...I'd be completely fine with them recording Shotgun, Sugar Will, or Crazy Easy... I literally think it depends on the day for Dave's voice... Dave's voice could be crisp and clean one day and he'll have a stronger higher register and another day he could have more of a morning voice... one that sounds like he needs more coffee... Singing at church, some weeks I have a stronger higher register and some weeks I can't get flem out of my throat so I use my lower register... if you listen to his solo performance from the benefit concert this April, he can still hit clean falsettos...

In the context of the show and with his explanation before DDTW, that is my favorite version of DDTW I've heard in a while...

Also, this song is my early favorite on the album! And I disagree that the song will be a disappointment live... I think it could be great. That said... I STILL am desperately hoping they bring in another violinist... many of the songs are missing the strings.

I really love this song. The "great, great" "Shiiiine" part towards the end reminds me of the ending to Monkey Man... The way he songs "Cold in here" very reminiscent to me

Honestly, as much as I do genuinely like this song quite a bit, the secret sauce here really is the production. Which is fabulous.

    Couple of things....

    1. Top 2 from the album for me, with VITR being the other
    2. Batson nearly redeemed himself from the Stand Up fiasco with this song, he freaking nailed it.
    3. Would love this live ONLY if someone guested on violin. The first 60 seconds of that song would sound like vintage DMB with some violin.

I find this song to be one of the most joyous highlights (among many) on the album.

Again and Again, Come On, Come On and Do You Remember make me smile and crank up the volume.

I can't wait to get this one live. I think it could be an epic staple from here on out live.

I think the ending could be extended with a nice sax solo. I'm really excited to see what they do with it live (assuming the ever play it, it's been around for 10 years and we didn't even know about it)

Is this true, that's it been around for ten years, I mean? I know Butch apparently plays on it, but is it possible that -- sometime around the time Butch joined them for the Charlottesville benefit show in 2017 - he came to Haunted Hollow and recorded a part(s)? Batson records with Dave in Haunted Hollow frequently, or so it seemed from hearing about the recording of CT podcast and reading about it.

I didn't know this was one of the 2006 songs like IOY or Can't Stop (or Shotgun, Break Free, for that matter).
