Those might be Carters cymbal hits that are in time starting then and fade in to his normal playing again after twenty seconds or so, otherwise fine on my end as well.

    - Live Trax roughly once per quarter from throughout the band's history (with pre-order, t-shirts, package options, etc.)
    - DMBLive releases roughly once per month focused on shows from 1991-1996 (no preorder, no physical copies, etc.)

The band has clearly made some great strides the past couple years with Sirius partnership, livestreams, etc. And, after almost 30 years, I'm really glad they're still together and still touring.

I just feel like there is so much low-hanging fruit they do not take advantage of whatsoever. I would just love to be fly on the wall when the conversations are being had about among their management/marketing folks what to promote and release and how.
i'd extend that to 99 (though i'd kill a man for a steady release of 2000 shows). basically anything pre-stadiums.

dmblive was also a good opportunity to get some random gems that dont require a full on release (boone '03, china club '04).

dam shame they killed that series off, im a huge proponent of it

I gotta say. I may be changing tunes and starting to dig this new DMB lineup. Change is tough and I’ve been following this band for I guess almost half my life. Having watched last weeks webcast, and tuning into tonight’s, these dudes sound really tight. They seem to be finding they’re way as a new unit and it’s sounding better and better. It’s nice to hear Dave’s guitar again, and Buddy really is fitting in nicely. It’s hard to ignore the absence of the violin, but they seem to be finding fresh new ways to make the old tunes work. Tonight’s set and last weeks set are two of the better I’ve watched in a long time.

On another random note. These have made me want to give the newer warehouse discs a shot and have to say, the one from 2018
I think, has an absolutely beautiful Lover Lay Down with a solo that emulates Roi in so many ways. Nice to be enjoying the band again...

I agree that last nights mix sounded fantastic but unfortunately that isnt how they sound live. Dave's guitar is still too buried by tims electric for my taste. It is better than it was in the past but in my opinion these first two drive in streams are very misleading. I wish they sounded like this in person but they really dont at all. You never know is a perfect example. Listen to the tape from columbus 2018 and you will see what i mean.

After listening to Samurai Cop from the last Drive In show, I am convinced it may be one of my favorite DMB songs of that last few efforts. I am not saying it is their best effort, but there is just something about it that I really enjoy.

Also, Do You Remember is a great short little song live. Perfect summer song in a set.

That Nashville show is one of the weirdest DMB shows I've ever seen. Completely mailed in and uninspired. Despite being one of the band's only sellouts that tour and being much larger than most venues on the tour.

I drank too much on Broadway before the show; maybe the band did too

And then paid $80 for a round of Moscow Mules in Bridgestone. Smart.

But, honestly, while that set may have been mailed in, Bridgestone was rocking.

Not really a DMB thought, but what happened on December 28, 2015 that made 8,000 people go online?

Bridgestone was a great venue for the band. There was a huge vibe going around before the show and even when the show started stagnating the crowd was still awesome. I'd 100% go back to a DMB show there.

just digging around this thread to go back to that date, apparently Stefan (shocker) was discussing setlists and songs he needs to be ready to play at any time.

Yuck Lawlor is way over top on his solos. He thinks he’s such a bad ass. Can’t stand him on the stage unless I got to see spoon or something because he guest.

It's depressing to think how much better DMB could have been this whole time if this guy replaced TR. Sorry TR <3
This is one hot take. Tim is a master of the guitar in every sense of the word. Lawlor is an enthusiast who can rip pentatonics. The guy is way more talented than me but Tim runs rings around him.

Dave was a surprise guest at UVA’s virtual commencement today. Performed Singing From the Windows. Pretty cool.

Dave's the man. The song sounds better every time he plays it.

This is one of my favorite Copperpot videos. Dave sounds great and Letterman's sound engineer really had his stuff figured out, although Boyd is a bit low in the mix.
