Come Tomorrow didn't need to be an album. They could've just put out an EP.

    Idea of You
    Again and Again
    Black and Blue Bird
    Do You Remember
    Virginia in the Rain

That probably would've been considered one of the best things they've released in years, but instead of that they gave us an extra 9 filler songs that nobody really likes all that much.

Actually, same goes for Away From the World:

    Broken Things
    Belly Belly Nice
    The Riff
    Gaucho
    Snow Outside
    Drunken Soldier

Someone posted one page ago how they think Samurai is one of the best songs they've done in years. And I agree with them.

I like Away From the World a lot, but throw in Samurai Cop, Here on Out and combine the two lists above, that’s a stellar album.

I agree, most likely another song from the 2015 Cavallo sessions. Baffling that they sat on that album.

They should’ve put the album out from 2015 with Cavallo.

    Bob Law (Again and Again)
    Samurai Cop
    Here On Out
    Black and Blue Bird
    Death on the High Seas
    Bismarck
    Virginia in the Rain
    Be Yourself (bkdkdk)

Throw in Sugar Will, and 2 more new tunes (like the song from 7.3.2015 ^)

That was the album I was hoping for back in 2015/2016. I think it would’ve been their best under the big 3. Then they could’ve gone back to Batson in 2018 for whatever else became Come Tomorrow.

Had this random thought the other day that had me cracking up.

This fan base is so obsessed that enough people actually reached out to Mark Batson accusing him of changing how Carter plays drums in Idea of You, that Mark himself responded saying it was Carter who changed it on his own

I didn’t think much of it at the time, but Batson was probably like ‘damn these people are crazy’

Not blaming the fan base for asking the question, but it’s hilarious that a producer actually responded and it became a ‘thing’... and all it was about is Carter playing the ride versus playing the hi hat and snare like Coldplay clocks. Too funny

Really cool. I hope this gets released on a Warehouse disc at some point. I wish they would put out a Warehouse disc that was only improvs like this. We have enough versions of actual songs at this point.

It's funny that after all these years, WAYG and YNK are still the "new songs" in my head.

Honestly, my brain hasn't fully reconciled the existence of Busted Stuff and I think I'm somehow still subconsciously waiting for LWS to be properly released. My rational self understands that ship has sailed but my dumb emotional self still has so much animosity toward that era and the songs that unfortunately got caught in the crossfire. All resulting in a pretty unsatisfying listen to what would otherwise be considered objectively good songs. WAYG is what's specifically in my mind but YNK, BEF, Raven, Captain, and even Bartender all have that asterisk in my head that I can't shake. Pretty unfortunate.

I never realized Joyride had a third verse. It's there on every version from 2004-2006, but disappeared in 2013;.

This was awesome. Its definitely different but I remember when I heard this at SPAC it reminded me of that little "Do You Remember" jam Dave did before Why I Am in Hartford 2012 (this was right before that awesome Mansfield pre-WIA jam about ROI)

The versions of Crazy Easy on LT43 and W8V8 are so spectacularly different and both amazing, yet they were recorded 11 days apart. Wow. Quite a difference between the two over a short time.

I would love to see this get a proper release, or get the whole show released either as a live trax or one as one of the Drive in concert series. Not the best show but whatever this most recent live trax was so bad pretty much anything would be better at this point.

I would also love to see like a warehouse release of straight up improvs or jams or soundchecks or something.

What if, in an alternative universe, that branched off, the 2020 summer tour saw the band play Grey Street with the third verse extensively. But in the one we’re occupying Dave treats that solo performance as a one-of and never sings that third verse again, all because of this pandemic.

So I did some more research, and it seems the only song that comes close to Kill The Preacher in the partial category, is Sexy MF with 59, compared to Kill The Preacher's 60.

Listening to Live Trax 30 this morning. This might be my new favorite release by the band. In a way, I'm glad they didn't have the full shows available cause this retrospective is very interesting, and to know they pulled from these same shows for parts of Remember Two Things is just wonderful.
