I don't get jealous over a lot of things, but my buddy was just on the rail for Hellmuth's 15th WSOP bracelet. Now he's on the rail with 10 left in the main event.

Not only did I have to endure a bad beat last night, it was to the "Bad Brad" of the table. It was just the dude's night though. The amount of hands he hit was staggering. Runner-runner 8's to win. All in with a 4-7 off suit, ends up with a full house.

The hand I went out on wasn't even those hands. The people I usually play with play a lot looser than me, especially that particular person. (During a previous poker game, the same guy was all in on the very first hand, lost, rebought in, all in on the second hand and lost as well.)

Anyway, I had pocket aces, guy to my right had pocket queens and the guy to my left (who ended up winning the hand) had K-Q. Flop comes with a 10. Turn is an Ace and river is a jack. Fucking bullshit.

Would have put me in a really nice position to win but it was not to be.

I don't remember what the blinds were but I was all-in pre flop. I was starting to get low on chips because I was getting slowly blinded out due to not getting any decent hole cards. Because I had two callers, had I won, I would have catapulted towards to the top of the chip lead.

youre low stack but a double up would put you as chip leader?!? fake news roger!!


you got in with the best but wouldnt really call it a "bad beat" with those callers if you were low stack. sucks to get in with the rockets and lose though.

I wasn't like crazy low stacked but I hadn't put in any money past a big blind up until that point. As I posted, since there were two others in the pot, I would have more than doubled up and it would have put me near the chip lead. I had the guy to my right covered but not the guy to my left, who was the one who ended up winning that pot. I wasn't low stack but I was getting low, for sure.

I agree that it wasn't that bad of a beat given the hole cards of others. I think I just wasn't lookking for the straight, so knowing that there was only one queen left in the deck, when the ace came on the turn, I pretty much thought it was over. Nope.
