Hell yeah !!!! I'm a little bummed there is not more excitement in this thread being that this is my hometown show. Out of all the Ants I usually meet up with at shows, not one is going to Nassau ! But , anyway, I'm thinking straight up tailgate for this show. The bar in the Marriott across the lot is super expensive , so are other other bars within walking distance, some are actually far to walk to. Would be great to meet some other LI Ants & more Ants in general. Let's set this up !!!!!! One more week !!

Getting to the lot around 5. Work right across the street. Can't wait! And with the way the show is selling GA may not be that bad.

Cool, we're 20 min away, gotta wait for my girl to get off work, but hope to be there by 500. We plan on parking against the fence directly across from the Marriott & box office entrance. Easy to get in & real bathroom access in hotel if that matters to you. I agree , GA may not be too bad, we have them & they are still available.

cant wait for this show....im thinking it be ehhhh kinda like ciitfileds but well see and its close for me and its dmb ,cant get any better..... mariott is crazy expsensive, i live doen the block so probally opening up bottle and chill out after ork then hit the show,, but def down to meet other dmb freaks like me on the island, dam we can have weekly dmb chilliout and drink and jam if you paly guitar like i do..hit me up ...nassau will be my 101 show !!!

Coming in from Newark Penn Station. What time do you feel I need to leave Newark (via public transportation) in order to catch Dave (can miss Atos).

You wanna be in your seat by 800, if it goes as usual , DMB will be on 815-820.

I kinda doubt they're staying at the Marriott , but you never know. Tuesday they're in Buffalo & Thursday they're off.

No clue, I live on Long Island, I don't know anything about NJ Transit. You gotta check train schedules.

To be that close, best bet is to be on line when the doors open, not sure what time that is. But, I heard this show wasn't selling that well & that there is GA tix still available, so , the floor may not be that bad.

hey, whats goin on man? you can either take NJ transit to penn (nyc) or the Path to herald square. either way, if you wanna be safe, i'd leave an hour window open for the NJ portion of your trip...to get from Newark to NYC Penn station. then add another hour for the LIRR to get from nyc penn to mineola/westbury or wherever you're planning on taking the LIRR train to. then another half hour to get from the train station to the coliseum. i would throw in an additional half hour depending on train schedule as well. so overall, since you want to be there no later than 8, i would suggest leaving newark around 400-430 to be safe. if you're there earlier, the coliseum usually has a pretty good tailgating scene. or you can just pop into champions at the marriot or social across the street. if you need any other help, don't hesitate to ask.

I wasn't planning on going to this show, but seeing how cheap tickets are running, I may just might.

Only issue is, no one I'm friends with is going that night, and I'd be solo.

Thanks, are you coming in from NJ? I looks like I am now getting a warehouse GA ticket so need to be there around 5:30. I was hoping if I left newark by 3 I would have enough time, but now I am second guessing.

do it...small venue, great sound, probably can meet plenty of ants. since dave is a part-time LI boy, who knows, maybe he'll throw us a decent set too.

I am going solo myself from Newark-once you are on the floor-who cares? I go to listen to the music, not to mingle with friends. If you are taking the LIRR in let me know, we can split a cab to the venue.

lol, i don't believe we know each other. though i did go to law school in michigan and see that you're from there, so one never knows. i'm not coming from jersey for the show, but i live in hoboken, used to live on long island, and still commute to long island for work, so i know the transportation options to get to and from. nj transit from newark penn to nyc penn takes about 20-25 min or so. so allow an extra 10 to be safe. then i say another 15 depending on LIRR train schedule, so you can prob get away with an hour total there from newark to nyc penn and be straight. then train to mineola/westbury is between 38-50ish minutes, and then cab. to be there by 530, you can most likely leave at 3 and be straight. best bet is to hop the 313 nj transit to get into penn at 334. then take the 401 lirr to either mineola or westbury that gets in at 443 or 437 respectively and then cab it to the coliseum and you'll be there by 5. if you need any other specifics, ask or PM me. good luck!

Thanks alot-last question-doors open at 5:30 for warehouse members-right? I am staying next door at the Marriott, so I assume I can taxi to the hotel and just walk from there.

no problem. and yea, marriott and the coliseum essentially share a parking lot. 2 minute walk.
