Don't you work for the WH? Stop drawing attention to the fact that this band is playing 1 full show in 2017 and didn't even allocate tickets to its fan club members for that 1 show.
Scott Stadium holds 60,000 people. They could have held back a few thousand for its members. They could have even required a donation and no one would have argued or cared. It would do just as much, if not more for Cville if the general public came. Your logic is flawed. There are, potentially, tickets available for the general public. The events affected more than just the city/population of Charlottesville.
We aren't talking about charging people for the tickets. Just passing them along.
Edit: The system is flawed also. There are probably a lot of people who work in Cville and were DIRECTLY affected by the events, but have less of a chance of getting tickets because they reside in a different county or city.
