I'd go just for JT, Stapleton, and Cage. I've seen Cage twice now, and they put on an amazing show. DMB being there is just an added bonus.

What the fuck kind of logic is this? So the support from people outside of VA is not welcome? Do you think before you type?

Support is absolutely welcome. That's why they make it an option.

What is not the right way to go about it, is to have local and VA residents request tickets, with no intention to go, to ship out to a list of ants members.

How is that not right? People from out of the area go, bring business to the area, see C'ville for the first time, donate... I didn't know all of that were wrong ways to support a city that went through a shitty ordeal.

This is really not worth the argument, honestly.

No, that way is perfectly fine. So is out of towners that aren’t going requesting tickets for those who can go but may get shut out. It’s all to help people who want to go.

What is not the right way to go about it, is to have scalpers put in or stand in line for tickets, be granted tickets, and the in turn sell them for a profit to those who can’t get tickets. That’s not in the spirit. That’s what will be wrong in all of this.

So, why do you think the fanclub states:

Given the circumstances surrounding this event, tickets are not available through the Warehouse.

Warehouse never cared about the fans. If there's no money in it (free tickets) why bother with the fan club members

What's so hard to understand about this?

The concert is not for fans, it's for Charlottesville.

Don't you work for the WH? Stop drawing attention to the fact that this band is playing 1 full show in 2017 and didn't even allocate tickets to its fan club members for that 1 show.

Scott Stadium holds 60,000 people. They could have held back a few thousand for its members. They could have even required a donation and no one would have argued or cared. It would do just as much, if not more for Cville if the general public came. Your logic is flawed. There are, potentially, tickets available for the general public. The events affected more than just the city/population of Charlottesville.

We aren't talking about charging people for the tickets. Just passing them along.

Edit: The system is flawed also. There are probably a lot of people who work in Cville and were DIRECTLY affected by the events, but have less of a chance of getting tickets because they reside in a different county or city.

I doubt it since they didn't announce it right from the start. It may be a lot to set up this entire concert with all of these different artists so quickly and then try and throw in a webcast. Kind of a lot to coordinate. Whereas I think Central Park was already in the works before they announced it, this is being thrown together quickly.

Some of you are being fairly ambitious with your set list picks. Best of What's Around? Cry Freedom? When was the last time you saw this band play a festival? Remember they haven't been playing together all year and let's face it, it IS DMB we're talking about, so I'm not going to get my hopes up on seeing an amazing performance. Wouldn't be shocked if they threw a set together the night before and practiced once or twice. But I would be expecting a set more like:

    One Sweet World
    Seven
    Belly Belly Nice
    Mercy
    #41
    Samurai Cop
    What Would You Say
Jimi Thing (featuring Pharell, Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake and the Roots)

Maybe one big song with everyone together like they did for the Vote For Change Tour.

That's why preference is also being given to the surrounding areas, and why people here are advocating having people in surrounding areas request tickets to send to Ants.

Scott Stadium holds 50,000+ for concerts, and locals are given priority. How many people do you think know folks who will request for them - 100? 500? In the grand scheme it's totally negligible, yet you can't help yourself from telling people they're doing something that isn't "the right way."

Can anyone help me clarify a couple things:

I can request even if I don't live in VA?
If I do request outside of VA do I have to be there that Friday to pick tickets up?

    Thanks in advance
